iv not listened again to hear what ur talking about..but i was informed by someone on here [] that 'chamone' did originate from how he pronounces 'come on'..so in a way all of u are right.

ps. I've just listened to The Staple Singers - I'll take you there http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9rh3JTvvlk I don't hear them say chamone anywhere. They say 'com on now' but not chamone like Michael is known for.

yes - chamone is definitely a Michael way of saying 'come on'.
