Gumby creator died.

Hate being the bearer of sad news. But I just saw this article today on the passing of Gumby's creator, Art Clokey at the age of 88.

To a lot of us, Gumby was a huge iconic character. I still have my old Gumby and Pokey bendable figures.

I also had Gumby and Pokey bendable figures to play with as a child. And fondly remember watching the reruns of the original TV series before going to elementary school everyday.

It's interesting to note that in Art Clokey's online bio, it says he created the Gumby idea while attending the University of Southern California in the 1950's. I didn't know that.
