I was looking for what I thought was an English song , but the original was french and that´s the way I found out about Gregory Lemarchal.

he sings about life and death and what makes it more special is that he suffered from cystic fibrosis and he knew he propably would die young.He didn´t really draw a good number in the big lottery in Universe.
But he did win a big competion in France ,Star Academy 4, that was 2004.
His lungs were affected by the disease and he was eating strong medicin.If he had been healthy I think he could have been a great dancer too.He did win a rockn´roll dancing competition when he was 12

I was watching the final on youtube recently but he didn´t sing that song and then I saw it says prime final.I don´t understand..it´s the same day and he has the same clothes as the final.

Gregory got a diagnosis when he was less than a 2years old, I´ve seen comments at youtube from other persons with the disease and they are asking how was he able to sing.
He was really a fighter and he really lived , not just existed.
He was a prankster too and sometimes he was punished for it..

Over 70% voted for him in the semi final in Star Academy 4.
It was boys in the first semi final and girls in the second.
The girls are back ground singers here , they made a message together " vote for Gregory"

I read that some radiostation in France didn´t want to plat Gregory´s third single because they thought it was too sad
Here he´s back at the star academy as a guest star , he´s coughing occasionally during the rehearsal because of his disease

He had to take antibiotics when he was doing concerts I guess he had to eat it when he was competing in Star Academy too, his lungs wasn´t good he really needed to avoid an infection.He took other medicins too every day .
Everyday he needed "Airway clearance to help loosen and get rid of the thick mucus that can build up in the lungs. Some airway clearance techniques require help from family members, friends, or respiratory therapists"
He got treatment from his therapists before concerts and he didn´t cough

Yes it was sad that he died so young, two weeks before his 24th birthday.
He made this duet 30 march 2007 just one month before he died.

He went to the hospital a few days later
His lungs were so bad he needed to undergo a pulmonary transplant but they never found a donator in time to save his life.
From this year there is a new law in France now everyone is considered as future donors if they don´t say no in there lifetime.
10 years to late for Gregory but it can save other peoples life

I don´t understand much but he mentioned work several times and I heard album and composer
I read in a comment that he said they ( he and his fans)maybe couldn´t see each other this year(2007)
"it may not be the TV but the thought".
And he wanted to make the best album possible.

I didn´t understand the video first but then I learned also from a comment that these people in the video got a second chance.
They were alive thanks to organ transplant a chance that Gregory never got.
I read that it´s like a lottery to get new organs.

This song was written for Gregory by Patrick Fiori and Julie Zenatti.
He was like Greg's older brother before, during and after Star Academy.
He´s still there for Gregory and the fight against cystic fibrosis

Patrick Fiori sang this song in a concert for Gregory in January 2017.Gregory´s former girlfriend is still there and Nikos the man from Star Academy

According to his father Gregory didn´t want to talk about his disease in interviews he wanted to talk about himself as an artist, songs, music.Gregory said he was going to speak out about cystic fibrosis after the lung transplantation but he never got one.
He said he didn´t want anyone to die because of him..someone had to die if Gregory should survive but that person had died anyway. I think he was afraid that a dedicated fan would do something stupid.

Gregory asked his friend Patrick Fiori if it was a good idea to do the Star academy. Fiori answered go for it and if you win it`s good.
For Star Academy I read you had to be recommended by someone and Gregory was recommended by a friend.The producers wanted a male singer and called him.
Maybe it wasn´t good for his health- to live close to many people when he should avoid infections.
Fiori also said From the beginning, he's sick, but he never told me. And he never complained.
Gregory had to go to hospital several times 2004 -2007 so I suppose he had to go there during Star academy too.
I suppose Star Academy was good for him as an artist and good for fans .

These 3 competed for 1 million euros and a record contract.

I don´t know if Gregory knew how popular he was- after all he got 80 % of the votes in the final later-but I think when he sat down between the girls it wasn´t because he wanted to be in the center. Many people who watched Star Academy thought Lucie was his girlfriend and here Gregory chose to sit down between them, he make no difference between them.
I read in comments on youtube that Hoda -on his left side- wasn´t French she was from Morocco and there could be some racism involved when people voted

He could have been alive today if he had got new lungs but even after a lung transplantation it seems to be a lottery how long you survive afterwards.

When you have a child with a severe disease sometimes it isn´t easy for siblings, the sick child get all attention.
It´s actually Gregory´s sister and his mum who meet him and you can see his sister love him very much.
They haven´t met for a month.
