Got To Be There or Off The Wall - Which do you consider to be MJ's first solo album?

I've always viewed Off The Wall as MJ's very first solo album because he had more creative controll with that one.

Good question, I think you can make an argument for both in a way..Like you say, for OTW he had creative control, so it's more of his vision of the album..but still I think I would consider Got To Be There his first solo ,it's a great album too
