Does anybody else hate the changes that Google have been making lately?

I've always thought the predicted search was a good idea but they've taken it too far IMO. The new layout is awful, the image results are rubbish and now whenever I type one letter in to the search box it jumps to the first predicted results search. For example if I type "i" in then it will jump to search results for "ITV". Of course it's not life threatening or anything LOL but I can't stand it when websites try to improve things but they're in fact making them worse.

A good example of "If it aint broke, don't fix it".

Rant finished. :D
 
I don't like anything they've done to image searching - first they changed the bar down the side and the options, then they changed the display of the pictures
 
:google: I despise the new image results layout. I hate that when I click on a thumbnail, I get the image on top of the webpage instead of in a little window at the top.

A lot of websites have been doing this lately, trying to make improvements but actually creating more annoyance than they're worth. Facebook is the biggest offender. iTunes 10 too.
 
Google is fine, so is YouTube. I actually like the changes to both sites.

As TarinJade said, the changes to iTunes are terrible...but Apple are hopeless anyway, so I don't expect much from them. I'll continue to use foobar.
 
You can switch back to the basic version of images if you want, they put it all the way at the bottom of the page (you know, near those lovely shade of grey boxes you apparently searched for.)

i personally hate that whenever i put search words in, and i go to a random site, and then try to click the back button, it erases my search words! sometimes i want to add phrases or delete some, but instead i have to type it all over again!
 
Yeah, I think it's gotten pretty bad. I'm okay with the layout, it just seems that the actual searching is bad. You get things not even close to what you are searching for.
 
I don't hate it. But I don't love it either. I just adapt and roll with the punches. ;)
 
You know what I've noticed? Certain predicted search results are censored, so certain words will not come up. While this seems like a good idea for a computer used by children, it strikes me as a little censor-y for my tastes.

However I'm a Gmail devotee and for that Google has made me very happy!
 
My image search looks the same as always.. :blink:

I hate the new iTunes! Though I adapt quite easily to layout changes, I regret updating it.. even the logo looks so stupid now.

Woww, all this time I thought Safari had been deleting the search words haha oops.

I don't mind the other changes though. The image results page isn't perfect but I like seeing large amounts of images in one area without having to click the next page...and the page after...etc..etc. :cheeky:

It looks a bit cluttered though, I'll admit that!
