This new documentary premieres on German TV channel Sat1 on January 6th at 22:30 (10:30 pm) CET (UTC+01:00):

Confirmed participants in this documentary so far are Brandi Jackson, Tom Mesereau, MJ&#8217;s bodyguard Bill Whitfield, and Taj.

For the non-Germans: Sat1 is one of the biggest TV channels in Germany, so a lot of people are going to watch this.

I thought I&#8217;d start a new thread for this, so it gets a little more attention than in the trials & tribulations subforum. :)

From what I have read before, it will be available with english subtitles ASAP after the release.

... annoys me. The truth is crystal clear, nothing to search for, here. I´m scared Sat.1 will "pull a Martin Bashir" on Michael`s legacy.

I don´t expect anything substantial and good from this.


 
I think it should be alright. 'Akte' is the same show that exposed the guy with the fake MJ autographs, can't remember his name.
 
Yup, that preview is terrible. But then I like to believe they&#8217;re just trying to get as many people as possible to watch, so they need that kind of tabloidish style to promote it. It&#8217;s important to know that Sat1 doesn&#8217;t usually cater to a very intellectual audience. Let&#8217;s wait what happens with the actual documentary. Remember, Tom Mesereau participated, and I don&#8217;t think he can be fooled into something à la Bashir&#8217;s hit piece.

EDIT: I was also told on Twitter by the people who were working on this, that the Schleiter family saw and approved of the final cut that&#8217;s going to air on Monday.

It's a popular channel but the show is being broadcast in the morning on 6th January-straight after Xmas holidays- when just about every one who works will be at work, not at home watching SAT 1. The scheduling of this is very disappointing indeed. I haven't checked but I'd bet my house on LN being given a prime time slot! I'd hoped that a more balanced show would be given a similar opportunity to reach the public.

Umm, no. The documentary airs 10:30 pm, pretty much prime time for that kind of content.

You&#8217;re probably mixing this up with the early morning show on the same day that will show a couple of previews to advertise the documentary. :)

I don&#8217;t get why this is a question. It&#8217;s a German documentary on free TV featuring exclusive and unreleased footage being broadcast to a huge audience for free. A whole different thing.

EDIT: The average viewing rate for the &#8222;akte&#8220; format ranges between 1.5 and 2 million viewers, depending on the year you&#8217;re looking at.

And who cares what Michael's critics think (often time. there is another agenda why those critics want to think MJ is guilty to cover up/deflect from stuff they are doing or just racist or jealous fools, or mad that MJ did not live his life to please them). MJ case has been to court where folks have been proven liars even these fools in LN who defended MJ for 20 years even under oath and clearly scheming. It does not change MJ was innocent. Critics can THINK what they want, it still wont make it true. Some people still think Emmit Til raped a white woman (which was a lie and she finally admitted it was lie 50 years later) because they are racist and can not admit they were wrong and want to hate blacks. And so on.

I agree. These haters are pedophile FANTACISTS, these sick perverts WANT so badly for children to have been abused, when they weren&#8217;t. These people actually &#8220;get off&#8221; at the thought of a child.being abused. I was there when they interviewed Brad Sundberg and a couple of fans for the Documentary. I trust that the fans, Brad, Tom, Taj and the others would not have agreed to participate in a totally s*itty Documentary. At least, both sides of the story would be shown...

I saw the preview today on the morning show, and it left me with the feeling that this is going to be good. Like, really good. :)

Tune in, even if you don&#8217;t understand German. We want them to know that the world wants to see this kind of documentary. :)
