Did anyone hear about this?

I don't know anything about this or anything about the person, but I do know that he was Gerald Levert's brother.

Gerald Levert died first and now his brother, too.

I saw a photo placed on the digital cable channel network "MUSIC CHOICE" last night and it was captioned...

Sean Levert
1964-2008

I think it said 1964, it's not showing up on the screen anymore.

I thought somebody might have posted it here. I guess it's probably online somewhere, maybe on BET channel.

Yes, this has been reported here before...he died while being incarcerated, non payment of child support apparently.....tragic for the Levert family all in all.

Can someone tell me who Gerald Levert is? I feel foolish, but I have no idea who he is.

R.I.P. though :(

Both Gerald and Sean Levert were the sons of lead singer, Eddie Levert of the famed R&B Male Group, "The O'Jays" from the 70's/80's.

If you don't know who "The O'Jays" are or were then I suppose you should check out the opening of "The Apprentice" for the song, "Money, Money, Money".

Well, he never "crossed over", so that's why U probably never heard of him. He was R&B for the older audience who didn't want to hear the youth stuff like Usher. Both Gerald & Sean were in a group called Levert with their cousin or friend (not sure) Marc during the 1980s. Eddie Levert, their father, had the kinda gruff voice in the O'Jays. The other lead - Walter Williams, had the smooth voice.
