Each year we ask the same question, who are we going to pass the torch to? After the Beyonce’s, the Rihanna’s, and the Alicia Keys’; who will be next? We should look to our greats and their children. These are our HEIRS to the throne and we have a new batch of great talent that should not go ignored. Our cover ladies, Skye Townsend, Genevieve Jackson, and Chantel Christie, are direct decedents of some of the best in the business. Robert Townsend, great director, actor, and funny man; Randy Jackson, one of the iconic Jackson 5; and Doug Christie, an NBA legend.
We hung out with them in sunny Los Angeles and talked style, music, and young black Hollywood drama.
