Re: they say MJ's money spending is irresponsible..

Changed title so people can see what it's actually about.

here is what happens when a company does anything it can to keep money. including, not spending it on employees. they break the economy and depress a city, and go bankrupt. of course, they're putting a 'positive' spin on it. the fact is, Michael's still afloat.

this is the tragedy of General Motors.

Grrr..don't even get me started about the American Auto Makers...

A Tragedy...? I think not..!

It's called mismanagement of funds, "SPOILED" fat cats in upper, middle, assembly line workers...

I personally know quite a few people that work at GM, Ford plants, dealerships in this area and hear, see some of the absolutely ridiculous things that have been going on for years...its no wonder the numbers have been decreasing, and GM, Chrysler are in Bankrupcy...

It's more like Pathetic..!

yep. that's what i mean. spoiled fatcats who want to sit on the money. not share it with employees or help the little guy. for that matter, they are not willing to spend it for new ideas, or mining little guys who might have good ideas to improve the company. that's why i say overspending is not the crime. underspending is the crime. and now, the fatcats have squeezed the money so tightly between their fingers, it has slipped away. the nature to spend, got ahold of em at the wrong time, cus of their selfishness, and then they used the money to make themselves fat. and the company crumbled around them. and now, it has come back to them, and they are worse than the homeless, begging for handouts. the homeless were out on the street in the first place. what's the fatcats' excuse?

Michael, on the other hand, does overspend. and it's a good thing. he ventures with people. he sees value in stuff and buys it. he helps merchants. and now, the investments come back to him, manifold. and he and everybody around him are happy and reeling it in, successfully.

I see what your saying...however...the assembly workers are just as guilty as the fat cats...It is truly amazing how much US autoworkers make, with their benefits, 401 K matches, vacation benefits, retirement packages etc. ect. ect.

It's like they have been taking their employment foregranted, and thought they were indispensable...

yeah. that's true too.

i guess the gist of this thread is to compare people who gorge to Michael who spends, and show that spending makes money. doesn't cause u to lose it.

definitely, greed is not good. making moves that are an act as if u are indispensable is not good either. making investments shows that u are looking out for ur future. MJ is willing to do it. the people at these plants were not.

some people don't realize that saving money is hard. so making investments assures u that money will always be coming in. cus u never know when a rainy day might come, and u have to spend some of the money you think u were able to save.

the government said in that first article that they won't interfere in routine operations. but u know that ain't true. in the very next paragraph they say they will take a big stake. and the President just ordered the firing of some execs there. and the government is appointing people to run the company now. on the board of directors. u know if the governement has to bail you out, they are going to run the show. and now, i just heard that the dow booted gm off from the dow. there is no positive spin to this, as the government would like you to believe. gm is now a smaller company, who the government actually ordered to sell LESS cars. plants are being shut down, they are selling their Hummer division, which really was the coolest division they came up with. many people are being laid off. for good.

another realization of the ongoing trend. gm and others love to sell used cars. another way of making money without spending money. they don't care if they sell a death trap, if it will save them money.

and they use politically correct terms like certified pre owned. or..'like new'. lol..geez

Dear V,
Studying the laws and guidelines of the United States, although they are not perfect, many things are unfair, unjust, and totally unacceptable...

However, Two of my Law Professors once told me...its the best Government we got.If it were not people like us to help change things that are unacceptable, we would not have come as far as we have.

Therefore, the moral of this story...
"It is up to the current and future generations to continue to move forward and strive for that excellence that each and every human being truly deserves..!"

:angel:Knowledge IS Growth

There was a rumour that Michael had some shares in GM or other car company..., is that right?

i don't know if that's true or not. but it wouldn't hurt MJ if he did. it's still better to invest and miss, than not to invest at all. you'll still be successful, because the practice works for you, eventually, in the long run. all the truly wealthy have invested in stuff that didn't pan out. but they never went bankrupt. they only increased their value, because they kept up the practice. there are always more successes than failures in investing.
