were you hyped on Garth Brooks back in the day or did it just go over your head? what did you think about his music and impact? did you think much about his alter ego Chris Gaines? what do you think about him as a Live performer??

I was never into him. I understood why others liked him, but he just didn't do it for me.

I realllly liked him when he first came out - that song "Friends In Low Places...." :wub: I think i sang that in my sleep for awaile :lol:
But after he married Trisha Yearwood in my opinion he lost status in all areas.
That Chris Gains thing was just a joke - lol.
Even tho i did like that single he had.

Garth is a better artist than given credit for. He has some truly gorgeous ballads. There is where he shines.

My mom is a fan of him. Gonna buy her a DVD boxset for her b-day in april hehehe. She got some greatest hits CD for christmas and she really loved it. I don't think he's a bad artist and some songs are cool but it's not really my taste, country music i mean.
