Fresh Prince Of Bel Air Theme Song

fresh prince of bel air
theme is sang by will smith back in 1990's
no i don't where to find lyrices/words to this song

Hehe notice the taxi cab driver, can you recognize who that is?! :D

EDIT, OK it's impossible to see who that is in this quality.
But that's actually Quincy Jones, he composed the music also.

Smell you later...looked at my kingdom I was finally there....to sit on my throne as the prince of bel air

Know it to this day!

Best theme song ever.

I love the full version (Will's Greatest Hits CD, longer then the extended version from season 1)

haha, I really can't stand that show but whenever it's on I usually keep it on to hear the theme song and then I turn it off. :D

lol. Love it.

Apparently it's not him, but a look-alike..
But who knows!

WHAT :bugeyed

Fresh Prince was unquestionably the best tv-show of the 90's!

Sorry. :/
I just can't get into it. I caught a few episodes before and I couldn't really sit through it.

ha, I don't know. I'm weird? I like a lot of other 90's shows though. It could be because I didn't exactly grow up watching the show, so I'm not familiar with it.

The theme song is the best though.

Lol sorry I also have to disagree. Though I loved Fresh Prince as a kid (until the "fake aunt viv''' arrived anyway), I find it kind of unwatchable now. Favorite show of the '90s: Seinfeld.

But yeah, the theme is catchy. Below are the entire lyrics of the song. Note the verses about the ticket/airplane. As a kid I always thought it sounded funny that Will took a cab from Philly to LA (lol), but there's lyrics about the plane:

Now, this is a story all about how
My life got flipped-turned upside down
And I liked to take a minute
Just sit right there
I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel Air

In west Philadelphia born and raised
On the playground was where I spent most of my days
Chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool
And all shootin some b-ball outside of the school
When a couple of guys
Who were up to no good
Startin making trouble in my neighborhood
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared
She said 'You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in Bel Air'

I begged and pleaded with her day after day
But she packed my suite case and send me on my way
She gave me a kiss and then she gave me my ticket.
I put my walkman on and said, 'I might as well kick it'.

First class, yo this is bad
Drinking orange juice out of a champagne glass.
Is this what the people of Bel-Air Living like?
Hmmmmm this might be alright.

But wait I hear there're prissy, wine all that
Is Bel-Air the type of place they send this cool cat?
I don't think sow
I'll see when I get there
I hope they're prepared for the prince of Bel-Air

Well, the plane landed and when I came out
There was a dude who looked like a cop standing there with my name out
I ain't trying to get arrested
I just got here
I sprang with the quickness like lightening, disappeared

I whistled for a cab and when it came near
The license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror
If anything I can say this cab is rare
But I thought 'Now forget it' - 'Yo homes to Bel Air'

I pulled up to the house about 7 or 8
And I yelled to the cabbie 'Yo homes smell ya later'
I looked at my kingdom
I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the Prince of Bel Air

I know that song by heart.

Call on me, any minute, any hour, I got it for ya.
