 I didn't know where to post my cry for help, so this forum will have to do. In mid May I received a message on my laptop that Microsoft was offering a free upgrade to Windows 10 and I hesitantly reserved my copy. The freebie is being offered to people still using Windows XP, Vista and 7 (I use 7). The release date was July 29th of this year, but I just got my free download 3 days ago.
Techy stuff already makes me nervous, so when I tried to install the upgrade it stopped halfway through it, then restored my machine to the system that came with it...Windows 7! I tried it 2 more times, but kept getting the same error message. I posted a question about the error in Microsoft's forum and hopefully someone will respond to it.
Has anyone else been offered the W10 upgrade and have you had any problems installing it? My laptop is only 4 years old and I keep it updated regularly.
The error number that kept popping up is : C1900101-30018
