i think this picture is from when he was collecting the guiness world record awards in 2006, same look and everything.
 
Yeah, I think that was in 2006.
I think he was more beautiful recently.
 
Yeah, it does look like from when he was collecting the GWR award in 2006, but the story from Sky did appear (to me at least) that is was taken recently. In anycase, the editor from Q magazine has a short message on their website regarding the above issue.

"Michael Jackson’s record-breaking residency at London’s O2 Arena was always destined to be the year’s biggest music story, one way or another. As such, three months ago we decided to put Jackson on the cover of the issue of Q that will go on sale tomorrow and throughout the month of July, when the first batch of dates were due to take place.

Work on this issue was completed a fortnight ago and it was printed shortly thereafter. When news of Michael Jackson’s death broke in the early hours of Friday morning, it was already being distributed. As such, we have had no opportunity to change any of the editorial content within the issue. Such is the risk inherent in producing a monthly magazine – that events may overtake a story that you are committed to.

If you do take offence to any part of the issue in light of Michael Jackson’s tragic passing, I can only apologise on behalf of Q. Hopefully, you will understand that no offence was intended or meant.

I hope instead that Q’s salute to the Thriller album within the issue stands as our tribute to Michael Jackson. It remains a remarkable work by a truly remarkable pop star. We shall not see his like again.

Have brought this magazine and the photographer says he got a call when Michael was in London (there is no actual date to confirm when it was taken). He turned up at the studio with small entourage plus a couple of fans Michael had picked out from to join him.

The photographer confirms he literally had 1.5 minutes to shoot Michael.

The two articles are very good - the first about Michael's last 4 years and the lead up to the O2. The second on the making of the Thriller video.
 
I saw this in Tescos and didnt even pick it up, couldnt bear to read about what might've been.

I've just read it and it just lays out the facts about MJ's life since the trial. I have to say it paints a very bleak picture. The stress he must have been under with these concerts, money etc. And all this during a time when he was still recoveriing from the trial. I'm not surprised he's dead. Poor guy. Rest in peace Michael.
 
This picture was taken in 2006 when he received a Guiness World Record.
 
He looked much better recently.....

Not the best picture off him. But thats probably what they were going for.....
 
first of all David Burke i love your siggy. Second Michael looks so sexy on that cover. Do you know that if i walked in a store and seen that , that I wouldn't care what the story was about I'd scrape my last penny to get that because he looks so sexy.

I'll be honest... I didn't buy and collect any of the cover issues from all of the reputable magazines in relation to their tributes for his life and death, because they all focussed on some negativity or worded somewhere in their print him as a weird person.

We have the opportunity to boycot what we don't want printed and reshape his legacy for what it trully was and meant for generations to come.

i never really knew how weaves were attatchhed but if you look closely at the top of mjs forehead you can see it..i guess it not painful..but i not seen mj pose for a cover in this way for a while..i mean its very close framed, there is alot of detail in that pic lol..all gd though

Are there only 2 articles or is most of the mag a tribute to him?

These peoples had to try get a life.I can imagine some crazy woman or man trying to find the worst picture they can get.Then the photoshop is making it worse and Ooooohhhhh The news - Michael Jackson is looking soo bad in last days.Fuc. em all!
