The damned government is at it again. First SOPA, now this, but this time it’s that moron Amit Pai and those FCC b@$^@%#$ trying to kill Net Neutrality.

A fellow deviantArtist I knew known as Fu-reiji knew about this more than I do and his dA page is already shut down just recently, but his journal is just left off and it will you what’s going on.

https://cms.fightforthefuture.org/tellfcc/

With less than 3 weeks before going to congress I want to make sure I'm doing my part in making sure everyone who does not want Ajit Pai and the rest of his FCC bastards take away net neutrality and pretty much making it less enjoyable for everyone and even manipulate information to prevent you from learning on your own and feed you a lot of crap you go to the internet to avoid here's a reminder of the situation.

if Pai and the FCC succeed in passing their ridiculous removal of net neutrality where anyone can look up everything he's said is an out right lie. even his recent claim that 60 percent of americans support him has been proven false when at best he's got only 5 to 10 percent where as the rest is 90 percent against him and he's also proving he doesn't give a shit and is liable to do some behind the scenes crap to turn this into his favor for when he gets his new job and money at Verizon. if it passes companies like Verizon and AT&T and Comcast can literally charge you more for faster internet and will purposely slow down certain sites for you unless you pay them extra. they can even affect what you watch on youtube or slow down your online shopping experiences.

to put this another way everyone can understand you know all those online play videos for games like twitch or a few youtube channels that do that or even how people like me and others keep you up to date on a few things related to anime and manga and games or even just post some updates on cards from certain mobile games? well that's basically gonna both a lot harder and most likely will end up preventing us from enjoying all that stuff including those who can't afford crunchyroll, hulu, or netflix that use free streaming sites to watch their shows where there will be an even bigger slow down or more than likely will shut down. some sites may even be forced to shut down cause now they'd have to pay extra money to stay on the servers such as tumblr, facebook, twitter, deviantart, pixiv, and patreon.

if you understand the simple basics of why net neutrality is important you either go to the link I used on tumblr to sign the petition or you can use another link you feel would be a more effective petition or you can just call or text your representative at congress. anything would be a big help in making sure the FCC does not succeed and we as the american public continue to tell them we don't like the FCC or don't them around.

you can also help by copy and pasting or reposting(if we can) this status update to your status updates or journals or even do a past to copy this info and send to your watchers and friends and even people you straight up hate. whether we like some people or hate them we all at least agree to net neutrality and a free internet for all.

So there you have it. After hearing the details, I’m very appalled and very well against this. So Fight for Net Neutrality.

:mat:And damn you Pai and the FCC to HELL!!!:mat:

I agree, but it’s not the government who is doing this, but the ISPs and cable companies. No one else wants this. They’re the only ones who want this. To give them free reign of the internet is just a bad idea. And I’m thinking of the widespread implications too because the internet has become such a big part of daily life. Take banking for example, it’s dependant on the internet. This would be bad for the economy if the ISPs decide to take complete advantage of the loss of net neutrality.

That’s why it’s important for Americans to contact their representatives whether calling them or you can even text RESIST to 50409 and follow the instructions which is pretty easy.

The government is indeed behind this, FCC is the government. If they had that going, would you like it if they ruin it and making everything private in public? I don't think so, let's if they're killing off internet which means they would automatically kill off everything like YouTube, DeviantArt, Tumblr and even MJJC. If that ever happens in the US, that means it may happen elsewhere like Canada for example, if Canada's doing the same thing, my hatred towards the government will increase, I still don't the government one bit and I would bash Trudeau for letting that happen.

I'm pretty sure the Pai and those b@$^@#%$ would lose anyways and leaving Net Neutrality as it is and best left alone.

One week until the vote is up. Last chance people!

When I did this "Leave Internet Alone!", I heard that DeviantArt is one of those hundreds of other sites on the Web including Twitter, Tumblr and many more fighting for Net Neutrality.

The Net Neutrality has been repealed.

They were going to vote to repeal it regardless of public protests because Pai and his two cronies just don't care, so it's not surprising, but definitely disappointing. The one silver lining though is that several groups are planning to sue them, so this is going to get tangled up in the courts for a while. Hopefully that means it won't actually go into effect until that's been dealt with and better still, that this new ruling will just end up dead in the water. FCC's already got some potential legal trouble on their hands. If I were a lawyer, I would start here. https://qz.com/1156695/net-neutrali...-comments-were-filed-under-stolen-identities/

So I still have some hope.

I've said from the beginning the FCC was in on it and I knew I was right, you can't trust them, because they're the government and already they do is just ruin everything, like what they're doing right now thanx to that moron Pai. Like mentioned last night on the chat box, if the CRTC done the same thing in Canada, I'd go on a full scale riot and I detested riots, but I would riot, but in a civilized manner without any destruction, damaging properties and theft like they do.

All sites would be blocked off like Google, Wikipedia, DeviantArt, YouTube, Tumblr, Blogger and such. Even school programs and stores would be blocked off unless they cough up $$$ for those and the services. BULLS#!^!!!

So yeah, there's a good chance for the decision to be overturned and when that happens, I know the majority of Americans would be relieved.

I just heard that Bell, Rogers, Shaw and Cinaplex are in on ending Net Neutrality.

I do love Bell, because my family had their satellite and I still hate Rogers over stealing production of Hockey Night In Canada. But I can't believe they're behind in killing Net Neutrality.

DAMMIT BELL!!!

Just got the buzz that the Congress wants to help Save Net Neutrality and overturn FCC's decision for killing the internet. But the Congress needs you to help by giving a call and save the internet.
