I chose ‘farewell my summer love’. it’s a classic nostalgic hit, that still holds up today💜. I’m glad it was successful in the uk 🇬🇧 a simple, clean yet impressive vocal from michael, captured when he was best able to navigate his transition. not sure if it would have had the same impact if it was released in its original form a decade earlier. I do think it would have been better than anything post his debut. michael’s solo catalogue at motown was in serious need of some uptempo’s. ‘farewell my summer love’ was that catchy pop hit.
 
Voted Just A Little Bit Of You before reading the thread. I would have voted Take Me Back as well.

I do but then my second choice would have been too easy to pick. That song and what you don’t know are among my favorite ever MJ songs.
