Actually ...i really liked this album.. and in the late summer of 92 i got hold of it ..

Melodie is my fave. It is very uplifting.

Hm… it’s “best contemporized song” off of Farewell My Summer Love, but since they’re all contemporized (in varying degrees), it really is: best song on Farewell My Summer Love.

The contemporization then, of course, is about the later overdubs Motown made to the original recordings, in order for the songs to sound contemporary at the time of release.

If you’d ask me, I’d say the best song on Farewell My Summer Love is To Make My Father Proud.

(And it’s not even close!)

Edit: Moreover, I prefer them all in their original productions (that is, sans 1980’s overdubs).
