Dear Friends

As we all well know it will soon be Michael's 52nd birthday. Instead of sending presents and flowers to California in honour of the day that Michael came into this Earth we thought the best way to honour this occasion would be to give a donation in his name to one of Michael's favourite charities-Make A Wish Foundation.

Throughout his life Michael endeavoured to put a smile on childrens faces, especially those who did not have much to smile about. Michael opened up his home and gave children a day that they never forgot. Michael spent many hours of his little free time visiting childrens hospitals, giving them toys and reading them stories.

Throughout his life Michael gave over $300 million to charities, most of them childrens charities. Although Michael is no longer here he still is helping children. In his will he left a massive 20% which has been designated solely for childrens charities.

Michael's birthday is a time to celebrate him for what he was and what he continues to be. A true visionary who never stopped giving.

The Michael Joseph Jackson Community (MJJC) invites you all you all to give as much, or as little as possible, to this wonderful charity. Let us put a smile on a child's face, just as Michael did. In his name let us do this and lets make him proud.

Thank you xxxxx

Thanks to all who have donated, I know some people are waiting to pay day! Lets put some smiles on their faces and make Michael proud.

I am going to give to the US Make-A-Wish like I did last year, so my US Dollar will go a little further. That USD to GBP conversion is brutal! ;) But thank you so much Sophie for continuing Michael's mission.

^^^^^

I know, its pretty nasty isn't it but thank you guys so so much. Make A Wish is a charity very close to my heart and every penny or cent counts so thank you again.

Hi Sophie thanks for making this thread. I will be donating £52 but I will have to do it straight from their website, not your link (weird card issues)

I'll be doing it every year, the amount matching MJ's years from birth.

Thanks

Isn't there an international site or something for Make A Wish? If so, that might be a better option next time because people on here and other fan sites are from all over the place. Also, I agree with the above poster about the brutal conversion rate :).
