Mr. Joseph Jackson is in Miami to attend the Latin Billboard Music Awards, together with Dieter Wiesner, Michael Jackson’s former manager and author of the current German Best seller with Random House “The Truth” about Michael Jackson, and latest Latin Music sensation Lucenzo nominated for 5 Latin billboard Music Awards, Danza Kuduro

Joe Jackson, Michael’s dad, was seen Wednesday night at Café Prima Pasta along with, says our spy, “a woman half his age” and eight other friends and alleged members of the Jackson family. The gang ordered copious amounts of Francis Ford Coppola wine. In preparation for Jackson’s arrival, the restaurant re-hung the huge Michael Jackson tribute billboard they had erected on the roof of the restaurant after his death. The Jackson matriarch spent several minutes walking around outside the restaurant to admire the billboard. On Thursday, Jackson attended the Latin Billboard Awards with his late son’s former manager Dieter Wiesner and musician Lucenzo, who took home three awards.

As for Wiesner... yeah, he is a bit dubious, but they settled whatever problem they had out of court and his book about Michael is mostly positive.

Well, their suit got settled and I heard what he has said about Michael. And there was no smearing. It wasn't always 100% positive, but one is allowed to give one's opinion, even if that might ruffle some feathers. So, do I agree with everything he said, no? But do I think he smeared Michael, I'd have to say, also no. And I've read most of his book and I do think it is embellished from time to time and Wiesner makes his role look bigger than it probably was, but it doesn't make Michael look bad.

Yep, "poor" Joe Jackson. LOL! I guess hanging with Dieter is ALL he has left now.

Let's see, he went from hanging with the Mayor of Gary, in a failed bid to spear-head a 300 million dollar project. On to belts, candy, and ice cream bars - another failure. Then to a failed attempt at taking over Michael's Estate - As if! Then on to the lady from Vietnam, and whatever it was they had cooked up - Joe Jackson no longer involved with that project.

Lastly, sitting all by himself, at a Las Vegas kisok, trying to sell perfume. Maybe during his next shift at the kisok, Dieter can sit with him, i.e. "buy a bottle of perfume, get a copy of Dieter's book for FREE." LOL!

Sorry I disagree. Wiesner was just hours after Michael`s death in German TV-shows and he made Michael to a junkie. He also feeds the Sun with such disgusting articles.

For two month he was on SWR1 TV and Radio and in both shows he said Michael wanted to have a white skin-color, no mention of vitiligo. He also said the executors get all the money, nothing for the family. The violence from Joe against Michael in his childhood was not really terrible.

The book is in my opinion superficial and it is superficial positive, I don´t think he ever had a understandig of Michael as a artist and a human being.

And his deals with Joe, the UD-Group with the history-logo speaks for itself.

I've heard, seen, and read what he had to say. And yes he's called Michael every possible name there is, he's questioned EVERYTHING that can be questioned.

...since he was out of Michael's life since several years at that point, he was guessing and giving a wrong opinion, before he knew what went on.

His opinion. When Michael tells him he has vitiligo, he can either chose to believe it or to not believe it.
As for the estate, the executors are making more money, than the family, or don't they? The family doesn't get any money, other than the kids and Katherine.

The violence from Joe against Michael in his childhood was not really terrible.

Again, his opinion, which he can't really judge because he wasn't there. He can only believe what Michael says or what Joseph says.

Like I said before, I do think it's embellished on some points, but it doesn't paint Michael in a bad light.

I also said, that I don't agree with everything he said and that I don't think he's a great guy, who speaks the total truth. But I do have to acknowledge that he spent more time over many years with Michael than I could have ever wished for in my wildest dreams. So I can't completely dismiss everything he says.

I think as fans we need to know a little more about the dynamics between Michael and certain key players like Wisner. There is enough information throughout this forum for fans to read up on. We have to also realize that certain people say different things about Michael when they are outside the US, in different countries, tv programs, magazines, papers. That is why the knowledge from international fans are so important. We all know that Wisner did more than make statements in a book, and the problem that Michael had with him should not be glossed over because it was settled.

I'm not sure if Joe is done yet lol.. He will probably involve himself with dodgy people and money making deals until the day he dies. I wonder what's happening with his documentary and book deal, there's been no news about it for months?

Because Joe looks at this in a much simpler way--if he can make money from it and get his Jackson name involved in it, then it is OK. Whether the person was a danger to his son is not important here. That is why Joe and certain siblings can hang out, grin with, give information to people who were detrimental to the happiness, finances, reputation of Michael. That is the way I see it.

Weisner and konitzer(sp?) were the ones i seem to remember who tried to poison mj's mind against branca in 03 and suggested he be investigated. So i imagine weisner's anti-branca agenda appealed to joe and other jacksons.

Weisner would be the manager of mj during the bashir shooting of the granada documentary 02/03 and the aftermath with the arvizos which ended in disaster - i don't think mj suffered a more damaging time.
