Dick Zimmerman was the photographer for the Thriller album cover, as well as, E.T. album cover and the wedding portraits of MJ and LM. He painted this homage to Michael after he passed away.

"This oil painted montage was created from three individual Dick Zimmerman photographic sessions with Michael Jackson throughout the fifteen years of their working and social relationship. The three sessions, in sequence, are the Thriller album cover, Steven Spielberg's ET album narrated by Michael Jackson, and the exclusive wedding portraits of Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley."
"This oil painting of the Thriller album was created in August 2009 by Dick Zimmerman. It is a fully oil painted Thriller album from the original cover created by Dick Zimmerman in 1982."
At the end of this video, Dick talks about the creation of the homage painting and what Michael meant to him.

FYI, apparently you can buy limited edition lithographs and giclees of the paintings above, as well. I made a thread in the merchandise market if you want more info on that. Or just click the link.
