Dennis Gabor would have been 105 today (June 5th, 2010). As Google points out, today we are celebrating the anniversary of Dennis Gabor, Hungarian physicist inventor of holography. The boys of Film, and Sports Cars we have already noted the manner in which the Dennis Gabor hologram is the trendiest and effective technology solution in the various fields of entertainment and technology.
We certainly could not miss the call of celebrating Dennis Gabor, and so we decided to pay homage to the invention of Dennis Gabor citing the use of holographic techniques for the choreography of live concerts of famous stars. The laser projection of images on the holographic plate is the most popular resource, along with colored smoke, on the stages of superstars like Madonna, U2, Lady Gaga and many others.
The rhetorical question is to ask who was the forerunner of this psychedelic holography solution on live concerts, bacause Dennis Gabor was just the initiator. But of course he, Michael Jackson, the king of the pop.
