I wrote a few of these back in April.I was gonna document each concert of The Dangerous Tour.I also wanted to post the youtube links of the show but it wont let me do it.
I watched it last night. It’s probably (& I'll say this allot) one of the most unique shows of the entire tour. I’ve had a few drinks but this will probably be edited. Michael is on fire & I have to point out the crowd on this show were fantastic. It was the 23rd show in & the 8th from the last. But the crowd were as much a part of it as Jackson was & i cannot stress enough how unique & great the show was & Michael was on fire throught.
Dangerous World Tour 2nd Leg.23/10/1993 national stadium Chile,65,000
Jam--The Black Jacket with gold military belts. This is one of the most perfect performance’s of Jam. Jackson strikes a pose, makes a pray symbol, does the moonwalk, does the side moonwalk from centre stage & runs to the side of the stage to security to point out a problem. As he comes back to the stage, Jackson points to the pit. Security come on stage to resolve the problem. Crowd holds candles in the air.
Wanna Be Startin Somethin-Great performance. A lot of slow motion movement’s. Voice sounds a bit Horace.
Human Nature-Wears the black jacket he wore for "I'll Be There" during the Buckerest Concert. Does a hint of a moonwalk & allot of robotics. A few loose movements & allot of sexual grinds. Motions for his Mic to be turned up. Good vocals. Great Crowd interaction, when he says "everybody" everybody joins in the chorus. Jackson uses the jacket as a prop by taking it off & flinging it over his shoulders. The crowd go mental lol.
Smooth Criminal-A very relaxed performance but the choreography is tight & superb. After 4 minutes Jackson gets even more into it. The crowd are woo-ing along. The crowd let out a roar at the finale with the dancers/gangsters being machine gunned down. Finishes with chants of "Michael" "Michael".Visually brilliant as always. The crowd are superb for this show. This is followed by a different interlude to IJCSLY.
I Just Can't Stop Loving You-Black Jacket with military trimmings. Strong vocals & lots more crowd interaction. Jackson motions with his hands, "I Just CAN'T STOP............" & the crowd respond.Siedah Gareth is as sublime. If only she had been available for The Bad Tour.
She's Out Of My Life-Again, the same Black Jacket. Gorgeous vocals. Jackson is sublime in only a voice he can deliver. When he says " Can I Come Down There" a girl runs up the steps onto the stage & grabs Jackson & jumps up 'n' down with him which prevents him from some singing the verse.
A camera man is right there to capture all the action & a bodyguard.
Two more bodyguards arrive on the scene & one has to unglue the girls arms from Jackson & she's escorted off the stage. The crowd are LOVING IT! Chants of "Michael ,Michael" roar across the stadium.
Amazing performance.
J5 Medley-Jackson wears the other JAM-Jacket! The Shiny one! The one he primarily wore for the 1st leg.(Two Jam-Jackets for the price of one!) A very enjoyable performance & very relaxed. Jackson walks around the stage & the vocals & SUPERB for it. He’s into it & it's one of the best J-5 performances I’ve seen. Claps his hands for The Love You Save & strolls round the stage.
Isn’t over exerting himself. Crowd scream for the choreographed section which is tight.
He's in great voice tonight.Fair solo spot from Darrel. Jackson comes back on stage & shouts "Everybody" & the crowd sing along.
The Crowd are amazing tonight. It cannot be stressed enough & Jackson feeds off their energy.
I'll Be There is a masterpiece. Jackson breaks down & falls onto both knees & takes awhile to compose himself.
Thriller-Great performance. Jackson is loving it & the crowd are in full voice a sing the song word for word. Stage not raised, No Tombs & the 2nd led new choreography. Brilliant.
Billie Jean-Stunning! Sublime & unique to tonight’s show. The Moonwalk is perfect but ends with no stand on toes. Although Jackson does stand on toes for "Don't Think Twice" & holds the pose for a considerable length of time. The 2nd Moonwalk is even better. Not Much add-libbs. Only Two including " Look What Ya Did Baby"! The crowd melt to Jackson’s command.
Will You Be There-Jackson wears another black jacket with a badge on the breast-pocket area & armband. Jackson’s signature Indian Tribal Dance is abundant & throughout the performance. Jackson raises his arms throughout this incredible performance (Best WYBT performance thus far of the entire tour).
The spoken lyrics are so profound tonight. Perhaps a coin could be flipped between this & Stranger In Moscow to contend as Jackson’s most profound self-penned song.
Dangerous-His swansong ala-Dangerous-Tour. It should have been what Billie Jean was to Motown 25 or what Smooth Criminal was to the music video circa-late 80's/Early 90's Genius. I will call the man a PIONEER! perhaps revolutionary in his self vision but to me a pioneer!
The version with the bridge. Almost album version. Visual perfection & so so tight in its conception & choreography. The crowd clap along & it's perfection & better than the Mexico show.
Black Or White-Again, no Jennifer but her fill-in is rather sexual & the crowd are eating out of Jackson's hands. Call it what you want. A crowd pleaser. A stadium anthem, a commercial masterpiece, a perfect moment in pop. No crane tonight. A snippet of new choreography’s pop masterpiece. The lot. Legs in the air.
We Are The World-The backing singers solo spot on the 2nd leg. Great vocals & the crowd sing along word for word. Fantastic.
