I need to update my Avast Anti-virus software. I keep getting this message in red that I'm using an old version of it & to update it.

Instead of paying 129.00 at Best Buy for Geek Squad to install it, is there a way to update it free at home? what website is it, etc.

Just go to http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html and download the setup file...

Once downloaded, find the file and double-click it and follow installation instructions. Simple as that, and completely free.
