Coldplay - LeftRightLeftRightLeft 2009 Live EP (free download)

I downloaded it yesterday and put it on my mp3 walkman immediately, will listen to it when I'm off to travel later this week. I saw them in concert a couple of times and have some bootlegs. I loved the shows. I still have some of the butterflies from Lovers in Japan hanging on my wall. I think it's great they are giving away this album for free.

ah d88 man, lucky you. i haven't had the chance to see them since their Twisted Logic tour for 2005's X&Y. i thought that was their peak and couldn't get higher until they elevated further last year. pop band of the decade.

Thank you sooo much!:D I just love Coldplay. They really are brilliant and took it to a whole different level with Viva La Vida.

'Bout to disagree with you for the first time Arx! But I guess its a good thing right? I do not feel their music, I always give it a chance but usually walk away depressed. I am not entirely sure what demographic it appeals to, indie, pop, rock? I find their music over-mellow and slack and Chris' voice just doesn't do it at all for me.

Not a massive fan of the whole indie trend that has taken the UK by storm since 2000 onwards.. I totally got Blur (never an Oasis fan) and still like them to this day, I think their Think Tank album was way underrated. But I honestly see Coldplay as the forefront of the inspiration to forgettable copycat indie bands.

Sorry bro, I would not download this even for free! I have given them too many chances!

, that cracked us up.

since they've blown up, they've really been a dividing force.

but it's just down to tastes. with Coldplay, to me there's so much spirit within the heaviness of that piano when Chris Martin is playing and so much space. the drummer doesn't get in the way. and it just seems like everything he plays is right — same thing with guitar and bass. it's a lot of atmosphere, so much room for breath.

took a lot from one of my heroes too, the late Rick Wright of Pink Floyd. and Floyd were themselves a dividing force in tastes.

so yeah, i get what you mean though. and glad we finallly disagreed. now we have a "real" relationship.

Hahaha! Next thing is wearing 'I'm with Stupid ->' tee's together, you know that!

I get what you mean with the atmosphere they create - and it is down to tastes for sure. Its what makes music so great.

I downloaded it just because I felt bad in the end - I will report back. Either :bugeyed or :ermm:

Viva La Vida is so beautiful! And Coldplay is just brilliant in general. But yeah, matter of taste and all that. A friend of mine once called all of this indie stuff "whining" lol:doh::cheeky:
