Ciara on the New cover of Vibe

Hey guys. I was on this blog that I go on daily and I saw the cover of the latest issue of Vibe magazine. Ciara is on the cover and she is basically naked. Now, I am not going to post the cover on here because quite frankly, it is a bit too much and young members read this forum. So, I am going to post the link where you guys can see the cover.

Ciara has a new cd coming out soon called "Fantasy Ride" and I am wondering if this is the route that she is going to take to promote her cd? Why does she have to be naked? She has a lot of young fans that look up to her and I do not know what her young fans are going to think when they see this. Also, since when has Vibe magazine become Playboy? When you see the cover, you are also going to see a picture from the issue that will make you shake your head. I am a fan of Ciara but I do not feel that this is the right way to promote her cd. We all know that sex sells, but maybe this is a bit too much. What are your thoughts?
 
I'm a fan but I was really surprised. I hope none of her young fans try to emulate that.

LOL! But there are other magazines she could have posed for like this. Why do it in a music magazine? Sends the wrong message, imo. She should've called up Hugh Hefner or that Hustler guy instead. Then she could have really proved to those who say she's a man that she isn't. I don't believe that rumor, btw...but that's the only reason I can see for her wanting to do this. Otherwise,...WHY? She's marginally talented imo, there's no need.

If she's proud of her body and wants to show it off, fine, but there's so many tasteful ways she could have done that instead of looking like she's posing for a porn still. If she wants to prove she's a grown woman and not a teen anymore, fine, but again, no need to look like she's posing for Black Booties R Us ( I don't know if that's a real magazine or not, I'm just saying....and I'm black so Please do not hit me with any crap about using the word "black booties". Thank you). The cover Janet did was provocative, but still very tasteful and artful looking. Never trashy. These pics look trashy.

I'm a fan of some of Ciara's music, but this saddens me as a woman. Looks like step one on a downward slope and that's disappointing. Who's managing her?
 
hehe yeah that was tongueincheek but Vibe's lost it a long time ago, imo. as for Ciara, may be she's trying to imitate her idol Janet but thought this is the 21stC way of doing it? don't know.

and i'd get Black Booties R Us registered with the copyright folk, Sabrina. got a billion-dolar market in your hands there.
 
The magazine is partly to blame .CiCi is a good person so this doesn't make her bad she just made a bad choice.And fans should look to their parents no a celebrity on what to do or act.

LOL true... not really surprised because its typical. SEX and SEXY sells.. and like someone said VIBE has really went down hill. Quincy needs to talk to his peoples why would they put mess like that on a damn music magazine and why would you want to pose like that? lol typical commercial mess...
 
look @ my baby. i love it. and its not sleezy @ all. i think its tasteful...maybe a few more pics it wudda became playboy but its def king magazine lol

That cover aint cool. Aside from being nude, the pose is stank too.
She's pretty much an established artist so why she feels the need
to go to this extend for promotion of an album is beyond me. :doh:

Yeah, you are right, she is naked. My thing is this: I think she doing this because there are so many so called female "singers" out there: Rihanna, Cassie, Danity Kane and she is trying to get people's attention away from them and on to her. However, she doesn't have to do any of this. She can just posed with clothes on and talk about her music. This is what is so sad about the state of R&B music. Some are focusing in the art but many, like Ciara, Cassie, Rihanna are either posing naked for Vibe or sleeping/messing with their bosses. (Y'all heard the rumors, I do not have to tell you.) Ciara could have done a better job. BTW, Vibe did fell off. I haven't bought a copy in months because all they ever put on the covers are people I really do not like. When Vibe put other talented R&B singers on the cover like: Chrisstte, Estelle, Erykah, then maybe I will start buying the magazine again. LOL.

Well.....she definitely ain't leaving ANYTHING to the imagination!! And I guess i've always liked that quality in celebrities....a sense of imagination.

Showing it all wasn't necessarily a great move, but it definitely is going to spark some hefty conversations from her fans and the media.

One thing i'd like to point out from the front cover. The position where her leg is.....her left leg......and the way she is crouched down?!?!?! WOA MAN! One wrong move in that pose, and she is gonna show some serious punani!! Yikes!
