Can food colouring harm the skin?

I'm going to use green and blue food colouring to look like a zombie for Halloween this Friday.
Just wanted to know, can food colouring harm the skin? or cause skin cancer?

The cheap make-up just ruined my skin, that's why I haven't opted for that. Sticky and gooey!

Don't think it will harm you in any way it isn't toxic but you may remain those colors alot longer than you want too :lol:

Nah its harmless...but I really would reconsider about using that for your whole body because as stated, that stuff lasts for days no matter how hard you try to scrub it off.
