Bullied Boy Dies

I hate when kids are being targeted by bullying of any kind. I cannot tolerate bullying any longer. Last I heard about a teen girl from British Columbia commited sucide due to being attacked by cyberbullies, hearing those stories like that breaks my heart.

I hate bullying. I've been a victim of it back in the day in middle school, I've seen so many great people fall victim of it. It's truly sad and nobody realizes the severe impact it can have. It breaks my heart as well. :(

It needs to STOP.

yes. i was the victim of it. and i watched talk shows where bullies say things like 'we do it because YOU bring it on yourself'..or..'we do it for your own good'. or.'we do it because we care'...or shit along those lines. i've also known of people that committed suicide because of it. The old saying is 'sticks and stones will break your bones but names will never hurt you'. but actually a religious saying in the Bible is 'life and death are on the tongue'. all wars have been known to be started by words. words are powerful...more powerful than sticks and stones.

I met a few other MJ fans out who are also being bullied as well, their story saddens me. I wish for some reason people who bullied people should be in jail.

Verbal bullying hurts worse than physical IMO. I long for the day where there's no more bullying and no one dies because of it.

My fiancee has been verbally bullied by her sister and every ex she's had all her life. She has the mental side effects to prove it  I too have been bullied in the past, mainly at school, and it took its toll on me. But I thought back and its made me the person I am today. If I wasn't bullied I wouldn't have the empathy I have today.

It reminds me of men who abuse their wifes and children "You laid the table with the the wrong butter knife, I have to punish you
Mother abuse their children physically and mentally.

It´s really sad when young people are bullied and when they die because of it

160,000.

That’s the number of children that miss school every day in the U.S. out of fear of being bullied. And a growing number of these commit suicide.

Suicide is the third leading cause of death among young people, resulting in about 4,400 deaths per year, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). For every suicide among young people, there are at least 100 suicide attempts. Over 14 percent of high school students have considered suicide, and almost 7 percent have attempted it.

One of the worst examples of refusal to face reality came a few years ago in the Anoka-Hennepin School District in Minnesota. After nine student suicides in one year, the superintendent first declared that the district was not at fault.

Months later, following a lawsuit, the Anoka-Hennepin School Board voted to repeal a long-held policy that prohibited discussion of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in the classroom and replaced it with a policy that directed district staff to “affirm the dignity and self-worth of all students,” including those who are LGBT.

As a high school teacher, I am both saddened and outraged by the continuing number of teenage suicides that occur after incidents of bullying. I didn’t receive any official anti-bullying training in my education classes, but I have to handle related incidents almost every day. We teachers must be proactive in dealing with bullying immediately.

But it’s not only teachers: schools, parents, communities, must all come together to talk about teenage bullying and suicide. We must not be afraid to talk about it, and we must not be afraid to denounce bullying when we see it.

:( BIG BIG  to you both

All the things this subject entails has happened to me, since i started school, and still continues towards me, today. It's a wonder I'm still alive. It's about time, light is being shone on a once taboo subject, that people, at one time, didn't take seriously.

That's extremely sad, I believe bullying should be punished with actual jail time... nobody deserves to die from such horrible circumstances. I think all of us at some point have experienced this on different levels and to some it's been a way of becoming stronger and empathic, of becoming better than those who hurt us. But on some, it's had awful consequences and this is proof, RIP.
