I think he just wanted to show Mike's joking and funny side. Not the most flattering, but I think it's a cute pic.
 
It's very funny as long as the tabloids do not see it. Imagine what kind of tittle they will have...

I think that Brett wanted to show us all a side of Michael that no one ever really got to see. The side that isn't trying to pose and be posh and perfect for the camera. He is just being his fun, goofy ass self that he was known for being behind closed doors! I love it :) I don't think the media could take this and run with it too much because everyone would be like 'Seriously, STFU. This is obviously a funny photo booth portrait and ya'll are stupid ass MORONS.'
