I loved the cover. :wub: It seems to be a positive book. Does anyone know anything about the author > Joseph Vogel? :scratch: I never heard of him.

Yes, the author has been working on this for quite a long time, not only "after June". In my opinion, he has written very honest reviews of MJ's music and look!! This is not a tell-all, this is about THE ARTIST!!! The genious, the creator, the music genious!

I really, really hope this will be a book focused on that, for that is really, really needed!!
 
Now this is a book I'd buy...About his MUSIC and his GENIUS....Positive or not, no invasive books on his private life, thanks...
 
I am very excited about this book. I read some previews on Huffington Post that were truly excellent. He also wrote about the new Hollywood Tonight video for Huffinton post. If you haven't seen it, take the time to google it. It's really wonderful! I have already pre-ordered my copy of the book on Amazon.
 
Yes, he did some fairly in-depth analysis of the music, even such songs as "Morphine." I've been awaiting this for some time. He supposedly covers all the music. I wonder if he'll address the "Michael" controversy...? I'm pre-ordering it, for sure.

Good question.
I have the feeling he really believed the tracks in Michael are all MJ's, but I am not quite sure about his opinion at the moment. Anyway, he has been studying MJ's music for so long, that his comments will be really valuable.

I do want this book!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't need any other "tell all books! -_-
 
So is this going to be like an even more detailed version of For The Record?

I would think so...Since For The Record was more of a reference book..This one will likely outline his creative process...:wild: This is like cocaine to me haha...

Yes, I agree. This is the kinda book I was waiting for. Loving the cover too. Such a beautiful man. :girl_in_love:
 
WOW, I will definitely buy this book, this is the book I am waiting for. BTW I love his Michael Review, very objective and informed. I hope this book will sell well, so we could have more books like this come out in the future.
 
Finally! I wish stuff like this had been written when he was still alive. I'm hoping it'll be like some of the things on Bruce Swedien's site back in 2009.

On a related note, it sounds like a lot of people on here don't like Magic and the Madness, but I've always thought it was one of the better biographies (maybe a little too much pseudo psychology, but otherwise really strong work).

Definitely a must-buy.

There's an old book titled "Michael Jackson: American Master" about his music (and one of the few he authorized), which I ordered from Amazon when he died, but unfortunately it went out of stock. A few copies are available but I'm not willing or able to pay as much as $1,000 for it.
