Ok this has got to be one of the most widely discussed songs ever, what do you think it means? Freddie hated people analysing his Lyrics but fuck it lol

I think this Song is about a prisoner on death row who's time is getting shorter and facing death in the electric chair, that's just my take on it :p

I think it's meaningless cause I never can connect the parts of the song.
what does GALILEO FIGAROOOOOOO do with a prisoner? :D

It is a rather confusing song which makes it all the more interesting to talk about

Freddie loved opera so I think that explains the Galileo part. Either way, it's an absolutely brilliant song! Wonderful piano and guitar playing in it. I also get the impression that it's about a man sentenced to death and is pleading for his freedom.

It is simply a masterpiece. Completely unlike anything else, which is what makes it so brilliant.

There are all different parts of the song that you look forward to.

I thought this song was about him dying of AIDS, at least parts of it. Whenever I hear his verse I think it is autobiographical.

Is this the real life?
Is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landslide
No escape from reality
Open your eyes
Look up to the skies and see
I'm just a poor boy (Poor boy)
I need no sympathy
Because I'm easy come, easy go
Little high, little low
Any way the wind blows
Doesn't really matter to me, to me

Mama just killed a man
Put a gun against his head
Pulled my trigger, now he's dead
Mama, life has just begun
But now I've gone and thrown it all away
Mama, ooh
Didn't mean to make you cry
If I'm not back again this time tomorrow
Carry on, carry on as if nothing really matters

Too late, my time has come
Sends shivers down my spine
Body's aching all the time
Goodbye, everybody
I've got to go
Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth
Mama, oooooooh (Anyway the wind blows)
I don't want to die
Sometimes wish I'd never been born at all

[Guitar Solo]

I see a little silhouetto of a man
Scaramouch, Scaramouch, will you do the Fandango
Thunderbolt and lightning, very, very frightening me
(Galileo) Galileo (Galileo) Galileo, Galileo Figaro
Magnifico-o-o-o-o
I'm just a poor boy nobody loves me
He's just a poor boy from a poor family
Spare him his life from this monstrosity

Easy come, easy go, will you let me go?
Bismillah! No, we will not let you go
Let him go
Bismillah! We will not let you go
Let him go
Bismillah! We will not let you go
Let me go (Will not let you go)
Let me go (Will not let you go) (Never, never, never, never)
Let me go, o, o, o, o
No, no, no, no, no, no, no
(Oh mama mia, mama mia) Mama Mia, let me go
Beelzebub has the devil put aside for me, for me, for me!

So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye
So you think you can love me and leave me to die
Oh, baby, can't do this to me, baby
Just gotta get out, just gotta get right outta here

[Guitar Solo]
(Oooh yeah, Oooh yeah)

Nothing really matters
Anyone can see
Nothing really matters
Nothing really matters to me

Any way the wind blows...

No Bohemian Rhapsody had nothing to do with Freddie dieing of AIDS, he got AIDS in 1986 and Bohemian Rhapsody was recorded in 1975, some people think Bohemian Rhapsody is about Freddie coming to terms with his sexuality.

^^^Could be. Thanks for telling me this. Whenever I hear the song, that is still what it reminds mme of. But thanks for letting me know. :)

I've never thought about it, just love the song and Queen, my favorite is Radio Gaga lol

i don't know if AIDS works quickly or not..seems like a ten year span...between 1975 and 1986.

anyway...people obviously get different interpretations from it..sounds spiritual to me, like he's meeting the devil..(beelzebub)

some man who says he threw away his life..if you take the lyric literally
