On DVD Beyoncé Iam… Yours an Intimate Performance at Wynn Las Vegas.
Act two: Story Telling
Scene one: I wanna Be Where You Are.
The Béyonce Knowles, talks about her admiration for Michael Jackson.
Read the following:
How y´all feelin´, Las Vegas?
I wanna do something a little different.
Tonight, I wanna share my story with all of you.
Is that Ok?
Well, by the age of five, I Knew exactly what.
I wanted to be.
And that was a singer.
I grew up watching tapes of Motown, The Supremes, The Jackson 5.
Michael Jackson was a huge inspiration.
Ever since I was a little kid.
Some of you may not know this, but I started out in a singing group.
And it was Destiny´s Child.
We got together when we were nine years old.
And where you are, one of The Jackson 5 songs, was the first song we learned.
Let's say the song I want to Be Where You Are, is a mixture of I Want to Be Something Starthing and the Jackson 5 song Where you are.
Ah, remember the song I want to Be Where You Are, is not the composition of Beyoncé, but it was written by Leon Ware and Arthur Ross
