Hi guys

I was wondering..what is the safest and easiest way to download videos from YouTube? and will the quality be okay?

Thanks in advance

I've never actually needed to do it before

The easiest / best way requires you to have a Linux distribution as your OS but I severely doubt you do, so this is the next best option. Downloaded quality is essentially identical to the streamed video as long as you set it to download at the highest available quality.

Well I use RealPlayer. You have to download it, it's FREE. It shows the same quality as the video it downloaded. So if you download a bad quality video from YT then thats how its gonna show when you download it. So if you want high quality videos I suggest you find high quality videos. LOL

i use V-downloader
to me its the simplest..
all ya gotta do is paste the link into the software and it does it for you.
it gives you different output formats to pick from like avi, mp3,mp4 etc.

p.s its free!!

I use this one also. Works great!

I use Real Player, each time you watch a video on YT a small box in the corner will pop up giving you the option to download it. It's tonnes easier than copying, pasting and then having to wait for it to connect etc. :)

I use it as well but sometimes it makes me wanna throw my laptop when it tells me that it cant do the download...

If I download something off You Tube, it's usually the audio I want..in that case, I use a program called MP3myMP3 and record the audio directly. Works great.

I use Audacity. Is that good? Often my audio comes out with a hint of distortion. Would you have any tips on how to make better quality audio recordings from youtube? I'm sort of a novice at this stuff. :)
