They've tackled Madonna and Britney, so it's only natural Glee would take on the King of Pop. On Saturday the cast performed to Michael Jackson's Thriller and RadarOnline.com has the amazing pictures.

The scene has the show's
William McKinley High School football team members turning into zombies. Even the school's band gets into the act.

The amazing production number was shot on a real football field. Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and the rest of the cast traveled just south of L.A. to Long Beach where they took over the turf at Cabrillo High School.

While I like what they are doing for MJ. I hate Glee, they kill every single song they cover.

Is it a full episode dedicated to Michael's music? I have never watched glee but i'll tune into this out of interest, thanks for sharing.

I think most of the time their covers are fun. Only a few times, have I outright hated their covers. It all depends on who's singing what.

No, Thriller is being mashed up with another song.

Speaking of which, from TVSquad:

But the musical performance fans are mostly looking forward to is the mash-up of Michael Jackson's 'Thriller,' with a yet-to-be-announced song. Finn, who will be one of the zombies in the tribute, will provide the spooky narration at the beginning of 'Thriller.'

'Thriller' is such an epic song ... which other song could possibly be "strong" enough to be mashed up with it? Well, the season 2 song list on Wikipedia claims that 'Thriller' will be mashed-up with 'Heads Will Roll' and that Finn, New Directions and the William McKinley High football team will take part in this unique performance. This sounds like an interesting pairing since 'Heads Will Roll' does have a spooky and mysterious feel to it but we still say 'Thriller' should have been performed as is and not be mashed with another song.

I've never watched the show before. Never had any interest.

But i'll most likely tune in for this. Thx for posting.

I actually really like Glee so looking forward to this although copying Thriller is hardly original-everyone does it!

So this episode will air after the Superbowl. Doesn't the Superbowl usually run long (like all football games to me, lol)? I hope it isn't affected by that.

Edit: Oh what channel is the Superbowl on? Fox? I don't watch football!

Advert:

Thriller sneak peak near the end...Don't know what I think yet. It sounds very high energy though, which I do like!

Love that Sue says "I hate you Diane Sawyer"

Even the British press have been talking about the Glee performance of Thriller, it's like a massive deal lol!

Looking forward to the show tomorrow. Can't wait!

I don't watch Glee but it better be great because it says the after Superbowl slot brings about 50 million viewers and usually can make or break a show. Fox is expecting this episode will take the show to the top.
