Surely Beethoven must have his corner on this forum. Michael was a great admirer, too, as you know.

Beethoven composed this piece for a violinist called George Augustus Polgreen Bridgetower. The son of a West Indian (Caribbean) father and an Austro-German mother he met Beethoven in 1803.
