Are they or have they done anything special to MJ's star?

Sorry if this has been posted or is a stupid topic but my friends are going to LA next week and they know I am huge Mj fan so they are stopping at his star. They heard they are doing some special things to it and are gonna take pictures and also leave a picture of me there....I was just wondering if anyone had heard or knew what was being done or has been done?

I went to MJ's star about a week and a half ago. There were flowers still there from the day that he died and they had a baracade fence around them. The flowers had all died and there were candles and posters. There were 2 security guards telling people to keep moving because it was so crowed. Michael Jackson's star in right in front of the Graumanns Chinese theather a very popular tourist attraction in Hollywood.
