I wonder why no one likes her lately. She has 2 great albums, Como Ama Una Mujer and Brave. You should really check them out. At least Brave if you don't like Spanish Music. It's got some really good songs for dancing, and it's not classic Timbaland tracks , which I personally find boring.

So... any fans?
 
Seeing which artists are praised around here, I am gonna keep posting on the thread, insisting that people hear J.Lo's new album, and then compare it to Usher's and Mariah's new songs...
 
Yeah I LOOOOVE that song too. I can't freaking believe that it's not a hit! I mean, it's got good melody, it's groovy, catchy and also her vocals are top-notch in that one. I can't seem to understand why everybody seems to be bashing on Jennifer, she has had some really popular songs... :(
 
I like her but i only got her first and second albums.... i wonder why her movie 'bordertown' didnt make it to the theaters? ohwell but i like her. but i havent heard alot of hype with this album..
 
Jeniffer Lopez is a pretty good dancer, in my view. Vocally she isn't very strong, but no worse then Janet Jackson or Britney Spears and that ilk. Probably even a bit better. But she can dance.
 
Yeah, well you should really check out the new album. Trust me guys, it is WAAAAY underrated. IMO, it's one of the best pop albums I have heard recently. It's really fun to listen to. No hype about it cuz she is pregnant,that's what all the hype is about,plus a lot of people are sick of her...Unfortunately,musically,she has never been better. In case you do listen to it, post your honest opinion on the album "Brave". And if you like Spanish music, "Como ama una mujer" ...
 
Yah, she isn't "vocally strong", I agree...but she's a good entertainer. I loved her released songs in her earlier career...I haven't really kept up with what she's currently doing.
 
Jennifer Lopez is the perfect example that someone can be successful in the entertainment industry with no talent whatsover. She makes such crappy, generic music. She makes even worse films. She's lost her attractiveness now, so she's left with nothing to offer. Why are people like her selling thousands of records and starring in major motion pictures but so many people with real talent stuck in garage bands and community theater?

if she doesn't have talent,then what's with Soulja Boy, Lil Mama, Rihanna etc...? Do they have talents?
IMO, J.Lo IS talented. Just because you don't like her you don't need to come bashing around, cuz the name of the thread is "Any Jennifer Lopez fans here...?"

but I don't think that Jennifer is not talented. She is WAAAAAAAAY too talented compared to 80% of "artists" today.

Better looking,yeah , she is a hotty, she is only 19. Jennifer is almost 40, and still looks good IMO , and has done almost everything. Rihanna just has the luck of being young enough to be successful. She wasn't this successful before Good Girl Gone Bad, because now she is "gone bad" - that is, her sexy image has brought her up. Oh well,I guess it's opinions only. I just can't seem to realize how people find everything transitory. In couple of years Rihanna will also be forgotten,just like J.Lo is now.
Nothing lasts forever anymore...

Though I love some of her songs and I think she is talented, I have refused to buy her albums because she wears furs and especially when they're made of chinchilla :)mad:)

That's ridiculous! It's like not buying anyone's albums because they eat meat. Or because they are using drugs,and many rockstars use it. I mean I am not defending J.Lo or anything, but it's the same thing as people say for Michael - they avoid listening to him cuz he is "a freak" which is sad.
 
I don't think that's ridiculous. In the end people are allowed to do and wear whatever they want, but owning a 5 chinchillas of my own that is just my way to say I don't want to support people who are wearing furs... and especially when it's just for fun and looking extremely good. I don't want to give my piece of the money so she can buy a new fur.

Edit: And people eating meat is whole different situation, in my opinion that's just a part of course of life. But if someone doesn't want to eat meat because it's something that has had a mother once, I totally understand and respect that. Not buying an album because the singer is using drugs.. again it's someone's way to show "hey dude, what you do is wrong and I don't want to support you by buying your albums". And since you brought Michael into the discussion (at this point I have to say he has nothing to do with this, so please leave him out of this in future), people saying he's freak is ignorance, it's an opinion and is nowhere near to be compared with my opinion about people wearing furs, because.. it is an opinion.

And by the way, this thread is for J.Lo fans.. if you want to discuss more about the other subject, please start a new thread :)

But you saying about how she is a bad person and stuff is not bashing the thread? Anyway, I respect your opinion, but just think - How many of the people you listen to actually wear chinchilla? All of the rap and r'n'b stars for sure. I just think that it is ridiculous to judge them , they have money and think the other way round. They all like living it up with all the glamor and fame - one way or another.

No, Im not saying she's a bad person. How could I even say because I don't know her? I think I already said I love some of her songs and in my opinion she's talented, but in my eyes she has a fault and that is she's wearing furs. And that's why I refuse to buy her albums. I know for example 50Cent wears chinchilla furs too, but I don't buy his albums either even though I like his music. No, Im not judging anyone, like I said it's just my little way to show what they do is in my opinion wrong.
