An AMBER Alert has been issued to find James Ashley Harris.

The Statesville, North Carolina Police Department says the boy’s mother is the abductor and they may be headed for Atlanta. Police say the child is in danger.
James Ashley Harris is African-American, three years old, stands approximately three feet tall and weighs 40 pounds. He has black hair, and brown eyes. Last seen wearing a gray and black shirt, blue jeans and a green and gold jacket.

Harris was abducted at Signal Hill Mall in Statesville while shopping with grandparents. Police say the boy’s mother Kira Leneshia Shaw-Wright, 28, took him and left in an unknown type of vehicle.

Shaw-Wright is described as African-American, 5’10” and weighs 100 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. Shaw-Wright was last seen wearing an orange and black skirt and a white jacket.

Another 3 year old cutie. I hope this isn't about some nasty family squabble though....looks like it at first glance, however... I hope they find him and he's safe.
 
My heart bleeds for the lil ones that can't protect themselves. I pray he's found and returned safely.
 
An update!!

NC Amber Alert Cancelled- Child found safe.

An Amber Alert sent out last week in North Carolina has been cancelled after the child was found, safe and unharmed. Statesville Police have not released where the child was found, or what happened to the mother suspected of taking the child at this hour. James Ashley Harris, 3-years-old, was abducted at Signal Hill Mall in Statesville while shopping with grandparents. Police suspected the mother, Kira Leneshia Shaw-Wright, took the child to Atlanta.
