Am I Wrong?Seems Michael Spend More Time ; Dont Take the Wrong Way

Seems that as far as we know and throughout the years, Michael was the only Jackson that spent more time, through his career and years, visiting orphanges and other stuff like that that. Although they have donated $$,:agree: :yes:.... we don't see the other brothers or even Janet, going and seeing children, etc and in fact, when was the last time Michael went to see sick children? Awhile???


dont get me wrong I know they have donated $$ to michael's charities, etc...
 
To be honest, I don't think the other Jacksons have that kind of money to donate to the needy like MJ and Janet did/do.

Here's what I found on Janet's humanitarian efforts:

She has been honored with many Humanitarian Awards due to her intense dedication to helping others. Recent honors reflecting the range of her involvement in charitable and social causes include the 2008 Humanitarian of the Year award from the Lisa Lopes Foundation, the 2008 Vanguard Award from GLAAD, and the 2004 Touching a Life Humanitarian and Philanthropic Award from the NBA. Janet's efforts have also been recognized by AIDS Project LA, the Congress for Racial Equality, and by the NAACP with their Chairman's Award.

Isn't Marlon helping build in Africa? In the reality show the brothers visit 'bad' kids to help straighten them out to do the right thing. Thats helping.
and i agree, the Jacksons do their part. everyone should in some way. you dont have to be a superstar like MJ to do some part, Mike and Janet had/have the luxury to travel and do those things even more so. but a little bit counts too! like the rest of us doing our own small part and not simply staring at celebs do it.
 
I just asked because we don't ever see them going into childrens hospitals and stuff...or hear about it. thanks
 
How do you know what they do or don't do? If you listen to Taj tweets 'true charity' is when you don't publicise it to the world.

Michael himself did more than we've even heard of, what he publicised was to bring attention.

What do you do? Where do you visit? You don't have to be a star to do these things.

well I can't really say I've heard about any of the doing charity work except michael, janet and latoya.

But that doesn't mean they don't. I actually heard about the kids raising money to help a 3 legged dog, don't know if its true or not though :)
 
Even if the others did exactly the same (if they had the same resources) or even more than Mike, it wouldn't have gotten reported, because the media and general public isn't interested in them. Bono gets a lot of press because he's popular in the mainstream.

I'm just stating facts. Sorry.

My father is a loving, beautiful person. Don't put him in the same sentence as Joe Jackson; my father is Mother Theresa of Calcuta compared to Joe.
 
I dont want ppl to be upset with me here. I know the other bros are donating $ and l klnow that you don't have to be rich or even famous to do that. so please dont take this thread the wrong way.



& p.s. this is more about the family & michael, doing the charity work and visitng places, etc. NOT family history
 
I think it would be unfair to compare Michael's humanitarian efforts in relation to his family.
I mean Michael's compassion and generosity is even incomparable to other celebs who has more money than most of Michael's siblings.
The basic principle of charity also is that you don't make a fuss about it, as it defeats the purpose of genuine charity. Which means whatever they do they are not going to promote it.
As much as we know about the numerous efforts of Michael, we probably don't know the half of his generosity.

To sum it up, Michael's compassion and generosity for the less fortunate is INCOMPARABLE to many many people (millionaires, billionaires).
