...that MJ will physically be able to do the 50 gigs. Although being a big fan of MJ, I still remain realistic and my common sense just tells me that many of those dates might be cancelled. As of me I will therefore try to get tickets for the early July dates to be sure that I will really see him on stage. Anything else is just gambling when you take off the fan glasses ("Michael is the best", "he can do that", "he's in perfect shape...") Anyone here who shares my opinion?

Unfortunate thing is many people bought tickets for the early July dates for that reason... only to find out that those dates have been rescheduled to March of 2010.

Honestly, I'm worried about his physical health and stamina. I mean.. 50 dates IS A LOT for anyone but I believe he'll be able to accomplish them successfully.. at least we know that he'll put his truly best effort in everything he does. He's a perfectionist.

I agree with you. Sometimes it's hard for some people to take off their fan glasses and realize that MJ isn't as young as he used to be.

8 - 10 days/month...I'm sure he'll be FINE. It's not like he's doing 50 days back to back. Why do people doubt it so much??

Not saying that I don't believe he can do it -- cause he has shown us that he can do the impossible. But......

What I do say though is that there are just TOO many variables for things to go wrong. And 50 dates over so many months can lead to a variety of things that could affect the shows.

A better way may have been 1 - 10 shows now and another batch later. Ease back into it vs. putting pressure on him to pull it off all in one shot.

I think it's psychological.

If somebody tells you to eat 1 hamburger and you do it. You can probably eat a 2nd one. But if somebody lays out 50 hamburgers for you to eat, you'll probably get sick looking at all of that food and eat far less. It's all psychological.

You are not the only one. I have doubts not because he is 50 years old. I have doubts because he is not doing well.
I've just watched the press conference of Randy Philips and Kenny Ortega. Both of them looked nervous and unsure of themselves.
Kenny Ortega, especially, keep stuttering and he obviously has something to hide.

I have faith in him doing the first half of the shows, not so sure about the 2nd round ive seen him in better shape but thats just my opinion

I prefer to take things as they come... I tend not to worry too much about what will be and focus more on what is.
Even if Michael is in perfect health right now they could find something tomorrow... that can happen to all of us.
So yeah concerts could be cancelled or postponed but then again that's just life. Everybody who has tickets now could get sick themselves and not be able to go also for several reasons.

I think there's just a lot of doubt and anxiety in general int he community, which is purely fueled by countless rumors and stories about his well-being. After a while, it's obvious that people start to wonder about things. The last thing I think though is that AEG and other involved parties would risk this kind of endeavor if they hadn't absolutely made sure he was good to go, you just don't put your reputation on the line if your artist is a liability, so I'm not really too concerned about that.

We must try to keep reason and logic going, because those are the first to go in a situation of anxiety, fear and anger, which is what we've seen enough of lately. It's easy to let your mind run and come up with all kinds of dreadful scenario's. People can wonder about skin cancer or whatever, while the most logical fact is just that he has vitiligo, a skin disorder that would simply need treatment, which a dermatologist can offer. Whether something is true or not, guessing about it won't help anything and will only create negative vibes, so I'd say wait and see what happens to be sure. If he cancels shows, then it can be worried about, and if it doesn't happen at all, well then all these worries are just a waste of positive energy :)
