A court filing from last week by Jeryll S. Cohen, a lawyer for Michael’s estate administrators John Branca and John McClain, said they anticipate that various products could generate tens of millions of dollars for the estate.
The papers, dated July 6th, 2009, detail multiple deals in a more than five hundred page court filing that was made public on Tuesday.

The papers, dated July 6th, 2009, detail multiple deals in a more than five hundred page court filing that was made public on Tuesday.
Among the deals is the feature length film from the rehearsal footage. 90% of the profits from this film would go to the estate, and the remainder to AEG Live. There are also plans for a soundtrack, a director’s cut DVD, and two special editions of the film after its run in cinemas with a stipulation that John Branca and John McClain can produce at least one tribute concert as long as the broadcast doesn’t interfere with the film rollout.

Merchandising giant Bravado has a huge deal to produce a wide variety of MJ related memorabilia, from photo books and trading cards to lithographs, buttons, live recordings on USB drives, online games and denim and high-end clothing. There are also proposals for digital clothing, tattoos and accessories for VR worlds like Second Life and Stardoll, embossed wine decanters, theme packs for the Xbox and wallpaper and screensavers for cell phones.

Among the other plans is a proposal for a traveling ‘MJ Exhibition’ of memorabilia from the late singer to be shown at museums, which will also be accompanied by exhibition-related merchandise.
All the plans are subject to the approval of a Los Angeles probate judge who, according to the Times, will review the documents.
The next hearing following Katherine’s appointment as Michael’s children’s guardian will take place on August 10th.

I know (from elsewhere on the internet) that the tribute concert which was semi-planned for the O2 on Michael's birthday had to be shelved or posponed. It looks like this was done so that AEG gets a clear run with the film, which i believe is to be released in cinemas in late October

yes, film will be shown in cinemas in october I think.
oh well, depending what the judge will say, but I don;t see why the judge will not give the go-ahead.

also more:
According to a Los Angeles Times report, estate administrators have sketched out plans for everything from a major motion picture to a TV special, tribute concert and reams of MJ tie-ins ranging from Second Life-ready tattoos to high-end clothing and USB drives.

So, there will be a TV special aswell,

STARS TO MAKE JACKSON TRIBUTE ALBUM

Madonna, Beyonce Knowles and Mariah Carey are planning a Michael Jackson tribute album.

A host of the biggest music stars in the world are keen to acknowledge the late "Billie Jean" singer's contribution to pop by recording versions of his tracks for a new charity album.
Robbie Williams, Whitney Houston, Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder and Diana Ross have also been linked to the LP, as has British schoolboy Shaheen Jafargholi - who was hand-picked to appear at last month's memorial concert for Michael, who died of a suspected cardiac arrest in June.

A source said: "The idea came from the memorial concert. Many fans asked if cover versions from it would be released, and it seemed a wonderful idea."
"This covers album is sure to be a massive worldwide hit with fans and could raise a fortune for Michael's favorite charities."
The assembled stars will pick their favorite tracks by the "King of Pop" to cover.
It is believed Mariah will reprise her version of "I'll Be There" from the memorial, while Shaheen will sing his version of "Who's Loving You." He has also reportedly been asked to record Michael's early smash "Ben."
Robbie is apparently being lined up to sing "Man In The Mirror," and other tracks expected to be on the album include "Rock With You," "She's Out Of My Life" and "Bad."

A tribute concert to Michael is also being planned in London – where he had been due to play 50 shows starting this summer and running into 2010 – on the date of what would have been his 51st birthday, August 29.

I know of 1 person...or persons I'd love to hear sing a tribute song to Michael.....Prince Michael and Paris Jackson. Some might think it would be exploiting the children, but I think if the kids wanted to do something for their daddy, this would be a wonderful gesture

Erm, no. They should be allowed to grow up like normal kids. It would be nothing but exploiting them. They don't need to visit a recording studio to sing for their father....

Is Robbie Williams really going to be in it? He did a song a couple years ago in which he insulted Michael.
