Being at the Kingdom Hall in 1982, 83, 84, 85, 86 a time when MJ was visiting Kingdom Halls all over the world, I wanted to share this song with you which was a part of a repertoire of songs Michael sang weekly from childhood to adulthood in hopes it offers some comfort and insight to the inner life of his music, his faith and his ongoing sense of future hope - even now as he lay sleeping.

(piano slow tempo, purely melodic)

A paradise, our God has promised

by means of Christ's millennial reign,

when He'll blot out

all sin and error

removing death

and tears and pain

A paradise, the earth will be, with eyes of faith, this we can see

This promise Christ, will soon fulfill, for He delights, to do God's will.

Oh joy of joys! What grand reunion!

When billions dead,

Return to life

Will be a time,

of fine instruction

Completely free

From hateful strife

A paradise

the earth will be

with eyes of faith

this we will see

this promise Christ,

will soon fulfill,

as he delights,

to do God's will.

Although Mike left the religion in 1987 to embark on his own spiritual quest, he never left the beliefs he was taught as he told us in the interview with Geraldo in 2004. The faith expressed in the above song was in his heart, and in his music. The songs are called the Kingdom Melodies and if anyone wants more lyrics just let me know.
