Back in the day when 2300 Jackson Street was about to be released, I heard a Radio Copy of The Song Nothing Compares 2 U. The Version I heard included Michael on it and instead of the Line Tito, you can't have her,It was Michael, You can't have her. Can any of you on this board tell me why did The Jackson Brothers decided to take Michael's Voice off this song and Maybe Most of the album ? I was asking people this question for years.

Never heard of it. Marlon & Mike quit the group. Randy didn't participate on some of the TV shows with the other 3 brothers as he was promoting his own album with his band The Gypsies, which was released about the same time as 2300 Jackson Street. The song's title is actually "Nothin' (That Compares 2 U)". "Nothing Compares 2 U" is The Family/Sinead O'Connor/Prince.

Thanks for correcting the Title. Duran,Duran. I knew it was something like that. Anyway my Older sister remembered it was played on WBLS fm in New York the day they debuted the song. And I thought when I bought the CD it would have Michael version on there.Yes Jermaine and Randy was singing lead and then all 4 was singing background,That's what is on The CD. but when The radiostation 1st played the song before the release of the CD or after the CD was released, Michael at the time was singing Background not the lead. And I also had believed that Michael was singing some backgrounds on some songs until something happened, Someone must have made Michael angry for him to pull out and just have him on the song 2300 Jackson Street, I guess that was a marketing ploy by SONY just for Fans to know that Michael was on the CD but as History tells it,The sales didn't do well when people foundout that Michael wasn't on all the tracks except 2300 Jackson Street. I'll have to ask one of the old Deejays that played the song back in the day to really get my question answered. The Wika have some info but not what I was looking for. Starting September 29, 2300 Jackson Street will be re- released with extra tracks,Hopefully it will be the missing Nothin(That Comapres 2 U) with The Michael you can't have her line.
Thanks for trying guys.If you findout any new info please put it up.

DJ's get free promotional copies of records. At least that's how it worked back then. I don't know how it goes today, since most stations don't play records anymore. Anyway, sometimes the music that the DJ gets never get an official release for one reason or another. Perhaps that is what happened here. I've never heard of the Michael version. There used to be a record store where I live that would sell the used promo records. Sometimes they were just in a plain white cover, and other times they would have a cover with artwork with a sticker on the front listing the songs or a gold stamp saying something like "Promotional Copy - Not For Sale". They also had the "fake interview" records. That's a record with pre-recorded interviews with performers. The DJ would have a sheet with the questions that they would "ask" the act, lol.
