A drawing - Half completed

This is a drawing I have been working on for sometime, I stopped the drawing back in Mid July. But I wanted to share it with you all.. I love children's expression their eyes, how bold their expressions are, I had to draw a picture of a child in my lifetime.

I hope you guys like it LOL.
Took 2 hours on what is finished LOL.

Will be back with the finished version.

aww that is just beautiful BI. I would have to say it is my favorite of yours so far that I have seen. Just really well done. What did you use? Was it charcoal and pencil?

I am very rarely ever really impressed with peoples drawings because I am extremely picky (though I love to look at any skill level of drawing and can appreciate lots) But this one has me fascinated. I am truly impressed with this. The expression on this (boy? or girl.. I think boy..which is also interesting. Depending on how you finish it, this could be either a boy or a girl) is interesting. You've captured many emotions in this that I am not sure I could even describe. Looks like he's wary, but been hurt and wants someone to trust and is looking at you in a vulnerable but guarded and hopeful way.

My gosh! thank you this is a treat! the fact that it has impressed you, and your quite picky with what work you like is a real treat to me thank you I am glad the drawing looks unisex, the gender will be revealed in the finished portrait the analysis you gave is quite interesting!
