I wrote this poem years ago when my first child was born, It's not about Michael but was inspired by his love of children.
A Childs Smile.
The smile of a baby,
The laugh of a child,
It's here I see God.
In a heart that's so mild.
In innocent hearts,
His love does abound,
In an undarkened soul,
His glory is found.
And only as a child,
So innocent and pure,
Can one give their heart,
And open the door.
To the glory of God,
To the whole human race,
And that innocent love,
Will shine from their face.
So I thank you my lord,
In my child I see you,
But the best gift of all,
Is a Smile pure and true.
