A cappella - creating one from a complete song

Can anyone give me an instruction how to create a fanmade a cappella track from a song? I know it doesn't work perfectly, but it's still far better than having all the instruments there at full volume. I need it for a Michael mix I'm currently working on.

Would be very glad if someone could give me a hint how to do this! Thank you.

Oh wait...that's how you take the vocals OUT of the song...never mind then. Well, you might be able to make some use of the link, so I'll leave it there.
