Is this number including singles, LPs and every version of anything released or just the albums not including singles? Personally I think it's a stretch if it was just albums. Anyone know?

its all together.

cassettes, cds, singles, LPs, albums, digital, etc...750 easily.

it was units that was said not records so includes anything and everything. video releases etc.theres another thread on this subject if you do a search

to be honest when you keep repackaging and re-releasing the same album/material over and over it's not hard to ship and sell alot of them. Especially when fans will buy anything you put your name on.

lol they are hardly gonna buy that sort amount of material in comparision to standard releases lol compair other artists re releases. not a very good excuse lol

Let's stay there are at least 5 million overly obsessed mj fans out there that buy everything he puts his name on.

Thriller has been repackaged and resold at least 3 times now that i know of.

That's 15 million units right there alone.

Not to mention two releases of both the bad and dangerous albums. which would total 20 million units total.

Other artists don't have as many overly obsessed fans that will buy everything single thing they put out.

I'm not saying it is the reason, i'm saying it most likely is a contributing cause.

I can say that where i live hardly anyone has a single MJ album, but i have like two of each :p So to totally ignore this entire scenario would be just ignoring some truth.

Would you just look at that average for his albums? Bad and Dangerous alone are 37 and 38 million, and that's probably not even accurate considering they haven't recertified them in a long time. Sheesh. He's obviously the most popular recording artist in history.

 I think the list posted is inaccurate, lol. But this is something we can ALL agree on...hopefully and that is:

Michael Jackson sold a whole $*%*^&@ lot of records. End of story.
