I have to say, I'm loving that MJ is up there with a re-re-reissue! GO MIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kinda surprised Mariah hasn't sold that much.

Coldplay definitely deserve that place at the top, i'm glad they're keeping the masses in check.

I'm impressed. I'm proud of both Michael and Madonna, being a fan of her as well.

So, Thriller 25 outsold Usher's new album.

Owned.
with Mama Mia just outselling him. :\

although the Disney acts are now way ahead of Janet, Erykah Badu, Portishead, Adele, Radiohead, Gnarls Barkley, NERD,,,, what's going on.

and damn Nas what happened to you LOL haha he was always overrated anyway.

I remember everyone was talking about how concerned they were if Michael were to release his album the same year as Usher, thinking Usher would pose a problem in terms of who got to number one and low and behold, a re-release from Michael is outselling a all new studio album from Usher, lol. I just find that hystarical, especially to all the people who thought Usher was the new MJ, hahahha. He can't even out-perform him when he doesn't have a new album, I can only imagine how far Micfhael will out perform him with a new album.

except for his first album.

Duffy is a female R&B singer from the U.K. She's actually a good singer, so it's cool to see her in the top 5. She's one of the few singers out todays who can actually sing. I don't love her voice, but she's got a good one and her music sounds a lot like classic Motown.

well Coldplay deserved it.

Viva La Vida is one of the best albums ever, no doubt. And no Hard Candy can even come near to it.

So is that what record slaes figures look like in todays music market? gone are the days of an artist selling 10, 15, 20 million albums.

Anyway, good going Michael...its just makes me happy seeing this, knowing that fans of some other artist have been downplaying the success of Thriller 25 over their artists poor showing on the charts.

id like to see when these albums were relased so u can see how they are doing in the overall market. obviously an album released on the 1st of jan should sell more than one released on the 1 august.

the sales at the mo are dire. even vince sold millions within a few weeks of release

wooooH

Im loving him up in the charts!

Record sales today really do suck, huh

Thanks for the release dates as well :D

I hope it clicks in Michael Jackson's head when he sees these charts that If he came back with a proper album the sales are going to go sky high. It will actually seal his position as the King of Pop. Imagine an album with atleast 4 singles with vidoes, with a few performances, we're actualy looking at about 15 million, and I'm not exagerating.Michael can really do it without a doubt, I really hope he is thinking that way when he looks at the success of T25.

Mariah Carey and Ushers problem I believe is that they are not international in the same they as MJ and Madonna are while they are doing really well in america.
