I thought this 'deserved' a blog here...
Today, I wore a MJ T-shirt to the city NOT just a badge on my sweater or jacket and I love how people react to it...
One person asked me where I bought it and she was still sad about his **** 2 years ago... but she was glad she went to London soon
Then something SPECIAL happened...
We have an OPEN 'psych ward' here and often I 'see' these people in the street... On the bus... I feel how they are 'judged' by others... They are just like us... NOT as strong as us but there are still HUMAN too...
So, I was sitting there in the bus and one guy from that ward... He smiled at my T-shirt and started talking to me... I sometimes find it odd that people in a bus don't say hello to each other... What can be more 'soothing' than just talking and expressing how you feel and 'feel' that the person in front of you really listens to you...
Anyway, He told me some 'private' stuff just out of the blue and I tried to cheer him up...
"People are so cruel and selfish these days..." he revealed.
Of course, he got looks in the bus as he of all people shouldn't talk at least NOT the TRUTH...
In that moment, I thought about Michael and how PROUD I was that Michael taught me to be NICE and TOLERANT and above all give TLC to people even the ones who didn't 'fit in' the picture...
That man was really nice and with a smile on his face, he wished me all the best...
I guess, I made that man's day as they say... Just a friendly smile... Just a friendly word to keep going...
That's the essence of an MJ fan for me... NOT the 'fanatical' screams or 'adulation' over a superstar but the WISDOM Michael taught us...
