As Janet's European tour leg was cancelled, a hoard of angry fans took it to social media and demanded explanation or just expressed their anger. At the moment, not a day goes by when someone posts a hateful message on Janet's account. "How dare you cancel European concerts but go to Dubai?! Rot in hell, whatever."
As far as rumours go, the concerts were cancelled because of bad ticket sales. This is something that upsets me, too, but it's beyond Janet's control. When you do a concert, you need to pay for the place, dancers, staff, technicians... If you can't cover it with earnings from the tickets, you can't perform.
In fact, Janet announced she would do her best to reschedule the concerts. See? She cares about us! It's just gonna be a bit more difficult, but I believe she'll find a solution.
Many people complain about the money lost and previously cancelled concerts in Europe. OK. When you buy a ticket, you need to expect the worst. Many people lost their money (accommodation, flights, etc.) after Michael passed away and couldn't perform TII concerts. There are many concerts cancelled every year, for various reasons. If you want to lose as little money as possible, buy extra insurance, so in case something goes wrong, you aren't troubled.
Secondly, the other dates in Europe were not cancelled all the time. First time during AFY tour, just after 9/11 attacks. Yes, the attacks happened in the US, but if you lived in Europe at that time, you'd remember the madness going around for a couple of months. No promoter would want to take risks. She then toured Europe a few times and only cancelled the concerts just once. So it's not that she hates us, European fans, other wise she wouldn't perform here at all.
If you are upset, complain elsewhere. Complain to people that set high prices, complain to people that demand high rents for arenas. Janet's not to blame and your angry posts on her Facebook page won't change a thing.
