HISTORICAL DATES



1983 - Michael Jackson reached #ONE on the Billboard music charts with his single "Billie Jean." and remains for 7 weeks

1988 - Michael continues his Bad tour performing at Madison Square Garden's NY City, USA

1989
- Michael takes 200 disadvantaged children from St. Vincent's Home For Dysfunctional Children and from Big Brothers and Big Sisters to the Circus Vargas in Santa Barbara, California. He waves, jokes, laughs and generally clowns around, enjoying the circus as much as his guests before taking them back to his ranch to see his own private zoo.

1992 - Michael Jackson was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the National Association of Black Owned Broadcasters. Rev. Jesse Jackson and NABOB Chairman Pierre Sutton presented him the Award at the 8th Annual Communications Awards Dinner held at the Sheraton Washington Hotel in Washington D.C. Stevie Wonder, boxing heavyweights Muhammad Ali and Leon Spinks, Spike Lee, and Al Jarreau were among the 900 guests, who turn out to see the man who revolutionized and dominated contemporary music, dance, video and fashion.

2007 - While in Japan to attend a Gala in his honor Michael goes shopping at Bic Camera, one of the biggest electronics stores in downtown Tokyo. The store closed at 10pm which was usual, then gave Michael free reign until midnight

2009 - Michael announces his "THIS IS IT" concerts in London beginning on July 08 during a press conference at the O2 Arena.Introduced by Dermot O'Leary, host of 'The X Factor', the King Of Pop strides onto the stage and says: "Thank you all. This is it! These will be my final shows in London, And when I say this is it, I mean it, because.. I will be performing the songs that my fans want to hear. This is the final curtain call. OK? and I'll see you in July and ..... I love you. I really do, you have to know that. I love you very much; from the bottom of my heart. This is it! See you in July!"

He really had high hopes didn't he? I wish he could have done at least one concert. That would have been special.

He announced 10 concerts and it ballooned to 50, and even more wanted to see him.
He left this earth knowing he still was wanted and loved, that is the main thing.
