You guys I imagine some people would like me to stay out of this but when it concerns Michael and his fans I can't. You and his music meant far too much for him and he will forever mean far too much for me keep silent amidst whatever the heck is going on.

I created a petition for those who feel as I do concerning this in regards to his new CD "Michael" and the questionable track "Breaking News."

Please follow the link and sign if you want to campaign to uphold Michael's musical legacy.

Also, I have been thinking of the best way to make sure the songs are to Michael's standards is to have his family and fans review the material. I suggest we form a group of representatives from many fanclub websites to represent us. My thought is to have the fan club presidents or other eleceted members from various sites proceed on our behalf. Maybe even have some type of selection process for non leaders to participate as well.

We would need a maximum number of people that is not too high so we have to be stringent on the selection process. What do you guys think would be best?

This is our efforts for Michael so let's please proceed in unity and love!

I'm not sure how we can make elections of who would get to listen to the CD before we give our consent but I imagine if we rapidly spread this campaign around and get a huge amount of signatures we can present it to Sony within a weeks time or less and they would be outright fools not to listen and adhere to our ultimatum.

They would be dealing with serious, severe damage control if we were to proceed with a boycott making many aware of everything negative we can dig up on them. I'm certain they don't want that and have NEVER dealt with us or anyone on such a scale as this.

Let's all pull our ideas together so we can proceed overlooking every possible angle and let's spread the link and get as many signatures as possible.

We'll have to make conclusions within the fanbase as to how and who should represent us as we move along. I am thinking it would be best to elect the fanclub presidents from the major fanclubs since they in essence already represent their relative groups. Perhaps from there if we agree that to be best we could from there decide upon a lottery or sorts or any other ideas the fans can conceive of.

Priority for us right now is Unity and Love! All egoes and selfishness aside. Without fighting or arguing we need to diplomatically come to agreements on what is best for Michael's legacy and his fans. If any of the leaders want to take over what I have written and proceed from here that is fine with me. It's not about me, it's about Michael and we all need to please keep this in mind every step of the way. I'll keep it in mind and I plead with others to do the same.

I'm in love with this idea.These people should be aware we are not some sheeps that are so naive to believe and take crap after crap.I'm planning to participate in every campaign that will try to serve them right.Because this is now beyong rude and disgracefull.Thank you again for putting so much effort and responsibility to unite the breaking community.We should be one at this time.Hugs.

Dangerous fan that is part of what I am saying in unity (the bolded part).

We need to be one for massive effect. I am not aware of any other protests that were present since the song leak (or before) concerning Michael's CD. That is why I created the petition. If there are others then to them I apologize and I suggest we all ban together and form one. I don't need to be in the heat of this and am willing to step aside, but I am willing to take the heat for it so here I am for whatever the fans think is best.

The goal is to preserve Michael's legacy. We need to gather together quickly and precisely to give Sony our ultimatum and prevent any further errors on Sony's part.

Would someone start a Facebook page with the name as Sony's Ulitimatum and post the letter with the link?

Also can people start sending the link to other other fanclub pages by posting it on there? Once you post it can you post here the name of that site so others will know it's already on there and leave a request for them to spread to other sites and update here as well please?

I didn't state it here but I posted elsewhere how technology can make my first soprano voice sound like a man's so there is a possibility that Michael's voice was altered in the recording process to the point that it doesn't sound like him.

In stating that I place emphasis on the need for a select group of his fans and family members to grant aproval to Sony after hearing the selection of songs set to be on the new CD. Without that aproval then we further contend that Sony should not proceed with the release until appropriate finalization has commenced and those we select to listen on our behalf have voiced consent.


Are you willing to assist us in creating a banner once the fans come to a concensus on how we want to present what we have to say? If so that would be great but if not I understand I know it can be time consuming.

So, will there be another group of select fans to approve what this group would first approve? What happens if the original select group have different taste in Michael's music than another group of fans? Will it just go to a general vote?

That's something we all would need to decide on as a protest group. What we need now is a voice in all of this and ears to hear what they are planning. I feel confident in sending a group of Michael's fans in to listen before the CD is released. It would be great if everyone could listen but that would be insisting too much. Good question though, please keep giving feedback!

Hi Classic,

When We Are the World was recorded a whole bunch of celebrities who were use to be the star of the show and the center of their world were able to put their egos of entitlement aside rather than insiting on portions containing lead vocals many humbly submitted to participating as part of a mass choir. They did so for a worthy cause.

I have helped with many worthy causes and consider upholding Michael's legacy as deserving because not only was he a great humanitarian, singer and songwriter etc. he also touched our hearts in ways many cannot understand. Michael's legacy must live on because our love for him lives on.

I expect Michael's fans will consider the neccesity of ensuring that Michael's vocals are proccessed on the CD to a level that is befitting him, not compressed or fraudulently presented to us of far greater importance than any possible drama.

It's time for egos to be put aside and efforts to come together.

I hope you reconsider your choice and join us because I am certain you hold many other great insightful questions that as a unit we can all answer as needed as united we progress in our efforts and love for Michael.

I agree, and I'm not going to share a banner that says that songs on the new album are fake when we don't know for sure that they are. All this will do will be to ensure that Michael's CD doesn't succeed. We know HMH is real, also Another Day, and the ones he did with Will.I.Am, we can have him confirm they are Michael. There is one song in question, but I won't refuse to buy new music from Michael because of it.

I am not planning on sharing a banner that says the songs are fake, please follow the link to the petition site and see what is actually written on the petition.

This is to ensure that they will not use another persona vocals in attempt of passing them off as Michael or take Michael's voice and compress or alter it to the point that we cannot be certain it is him.

At this point no one is being asked not to buy anything. Right now we are eliciting fans support and signatures for the petition so we can let Sony know that we will uphold Michael's legacy and at this point they need to let us (fans who will represent us) in on what they are planning to release.

I'm planning on sending out a bunch of emails tomorrow evening if need be...

Please everyone let's decide on a method in selecting who all can go in to listen to the tracks on our behalf if and WHEN Sony extends their consent. We need to come up with a feasible number as well.

We don't want Breaking News or any other non MJ songs on the album! Sony please remove this song from the album and replace it with great Do You Know Where Your Children Are.
 
I take it some of you will be boycotting sales of all Michael's albums that contain vocals that are not 100% his? i.e - 'Off The Wall', 'Thriller', 'Bad', 'Dangerous' etc? After all, other people sang vocals/backing vocals on these albums. If you're obsessed that everything has to be 100% MJ, then you better burn all your albums.

If you get your wish, and this album is a flop, there will never be another album release with new material. Sony will give up on promoting Michael's Legacy, sales o his old album will flop, and he will, eventually, be forgotten for the genius he was. IS THAT REALLY WHAT YOU WANT - JUST TO HURT SONY?

at that time some other stupid fans started "This Is Not it"

IF Sony did not release This Is It, the media would have it their way,
that Michael was not capable of singing or dancing and that he could barely walk
thats what the media wanted you guys to believe and when This Is It came in theaters it made them shut up and praise him.

Im sure the same thing will happen with the album it could be a huge success and finally a success worthy of Michael, or it could be a flop when a lot of you MJ fans go against it,
and then you can have the media laughing at it and saying look at Michael he just couldnt make good songs anymore.

No thank you, I never follow public mobs, so until someone comes up with a better prof of songs being faked I'll support MJ's music, and yes, I do believe "Breaking news" is a 100% MJ song :) and a great one indeed....

Hi deano,

There's no hatred in our actions concerning Sony. This is a campaign steeped in love! Love for Michael, his music and his legacy.

If it gets to the point where we play David and Galliath, then our words will be the smooth stone that knocks the giant Sony corp. down. I do believe however that the executives at Sony are far too wise to let it come to that and they will be open to appeasing Michael Jackson's frustrated, sad, confused and angered fans.

Where do you surmise that my wish will cause the album to be a flop? It certainly was not in anything written or implied. My "wish" if you will is for Sony to proceed with the release of Michael's CD in the expected time frame with vocals that we can tell are Michael's.

Do you really think Sony will refuse to release the material they have purchased with 250 million dollars??? Rather I think they will milk it for all it's worth.

My focus is not what's years down the road, I'll deal with that then, my focus is on the here and now and there are many of us who will fight for decent recordings of Michael's vocals, not over edited productions or any attempts of claiming a song to be him if it is not.

I am not obsessed that everything has to be 100% Michael, I am outraged that Sony forged ahead with streaming breaking news despite the family's concern that the track did not host Michael's voice. If it is not mostly Michael's voice then it should have been listed as a duet or a dupe but not as a Michael Jackson track and if it is Michael then someone should have asked Teddy Riley what the heck happened when he was finalizing the recordings.

Michael's fans are hurt, angry, confused and sad and I for one will not do nothing in hopes that Sony does the right thing. I am prepared for people to become angry with me and to spend tireless hours explaining why we will go forward with the petition. Why? Because something needs to be done.

Michael's family did not make us aware of these things until just before "Breaking News" was released. Sony didn't say a thing and went so far as to have us on the edge of our seats with a 30 second clip with no lyrics only to follow up with a track containing questionable vocals. Why release a clip with no lyrics???

In my personal opinion Sony is up to something and I am not up to waiting around to see or hear what it is. I and others are planning and organizing ourselves and others for the greatest demonstration the world has ever seen or for Sony to welcome us to see this project through to fruition.

If Sony attempts to cease releasing Michael's CD we will cripple their corporation because word of mouth by consumer's network of friends and family far outweigh the greatest of advertising dollars. Remember that!

No, I do not want to boycott the album but I am prepared to as well as all other Sony products.

If I still had faith in Sony after their stunt of a teaser and streaming song release then I too would like to wait and hear the album for myself, however I do not have faith that they will see to it that the tracks they choose to release on the CD have been finalized acceptably. So we plan on sending people in to represent us- Michael's fans. We are the ones who truly care for Michael, his music and his legacy and I am not interested in trying to figure out anyone elses motives though I do have my suspicions.

I think we should start with a ban of Sony products! Let's all give that
some thought while their execs contemplate on what they will do next...

That's the point. There SHOULD NOT BE A QUESTIONABLE SONG.

Least of all, the first one.

It is The Estate/Sony that have created this mess. It is hard to even comprehend. We ALL want the album to be number one, but not if it's got fake songs on it.

They have to make an announcement not to include these tracks.
